AIBU to be deeply concerned about the recent influx of 30k+ undocumented arrivals in Spain?

AIBU to feel really unsettled by the recent news coming out of Spain and Ceuta? Reports are showing that tens of thousands of undocumented migrants have crossed over in such a short window, completely overwhelming local infrastructure, reception centers, and security forces.

I know migration is always a sensitive and compassionate topic, but looking at these numbers practically, I don't see how any European border region can absorb 30,000 to 50,000 arrivals almost overnight without severe strain on public resources, local housing, and emergency services.

What worries me even more is the precedent it sets for the rest of Europe and the UK down the line. Surely there has to be a firm balance between humanitarian support and actual, enforceable border control?

Am I being completely unreasonable to view this as a serious policy and security crisis, or are others feeling equally concerned about where this leads?

Would love to hear honest thoughts on how this should actually be handled!

Why is Ceuta a migration flashpoint?
Spain is a main point of arrival into Europe for people seeking better economic opportunities or an escape from violence in their home countries. Ceuta and Melilla are heavily fortified as they are seen as destinations for those trying to reach Spain from Morocco and other parts of Africa.
Many migrants who reach Ceuta or Melilla are immediately turned back, but others are held in migrant shelters while they apply for asylum in Spain.

They're is no way for them to leave Ceuta for Spain unofficially. No small boats. They get turned back or held while they apply for asylum from Ceuta. If they're granted it, they are able to leave for Spain. If they're refused, they're returned to Morocco.

And I now that international law is inconvenient to you and you don't like it, but it hasn't changed and therefore there's no 'breaking in'. The Danish government has also adopted more right wing policies wrt immigration to neutralise the impact of the right wing parties.

So why did Keir Starmer always refer to them as illegal then? He made many posts on social media calling them illegal boat migrants. They come to the UK illegally via an illegal route. I don’t think the pp is the one attempting to twist the facts to suit their agenda, The facts are clear. 60k people crossed the border ileagaly in a short space of time, the Military were sent in, Italy reintroduced border controls, people died. I’m incredibly suspicious and of those who support uncontrolled and undocumented immigration into Europe, what exactly is it that motivates you?

Because they have no logical argument to put across and nowhere to go. They know the boat migrants are committing crimes but they dismiss it and say “well British people commit crimes anyways so it’s not a big deal”.

Spain is doing the right thing by just refusing them all and sending them back.

I suppose he is using the language of the day. Technically it isnt an illegal entry if the purpose of the entry is to claim asylum which they do within minutes of landing on UK soil.

It is illegal to cross the channel without due regard to entry and sailing procedures but I think thats a shipping law, not so much an immigration law.

And when we explain "we'll always have British criminals , no need to import more" they'll ignore it. They also just blatantly ignore all the per capita data from multiple nations.
