Hand hold needed - away with cheating DH

Changed name as a regular poster and don’t want to out myself.

I’m away with DH and our two DC currently, we have had a few rows in recent months and haven’t been intimate for a while either.

I have spent the first few days of the holiday (we’re here for 10 days) running around after the kids, co-ordinating the on site clubs and basically not relaxing. DH has spent most of his days led pool side with his headphones in and a drink.

He has been on his phone a lot more than on recent holidays. So when he was in the shower last night, I looked at it because I was suspicious.

There are numerous messages between him and another woman. Time stamps when he would have been pool side. One really hurtful one said he has a ‘beer and the sun, I just wish you were here too so I could see your milk tankers in a bikini’. She’s equally flirting back, it made me feel sick reading.

I managed to bring this up without the kids present, he said what do I expect when I won’t go near him anymore. Just really cold. He’s doing his own thing today, and I don’t know how I’ll get through the rest of the holiday 😥

He's a prize cunt isn't he?

Instead of working on your relationship and trying to improve intimacy he's just decided it's okay to seek sex elsewhere?

Long term, is divorce an option?

As for the holiday your options are make the best of it or go home? Not sure how "making the best of it" works when he has clearly checked out?

I agree that being clinical and calm is the way forward. Make sure you get a break and he has the kids.

SoBoredOfSelfDoubtHowToGetOut · 30/07/2026 13:07

What a vile man.

milk tankers. Is this real? Tosser.

so look for the rest of holiday be civil and polite. And cold. He’s not your friend.

research a solicitor. Have an online meeting either one. Find out what is what for your position.

He’s a creep. Entitled and deceitful. Sly shit.

Opus3 · 30/07/2026 13:07

Leave the kids with him and fuck off for the rest of the time.

What a bastard.

And 'milk tankers'... Shudder.

crackadawn · 30/07/2026 13:08

Wow that was his response? Has he done this to you before? Who is she?

RecyclingSal · 30/07/2026 13:08

That's so awful, OP. I'm so sorry. Do you have any inkling of who it is? What a sod. Thinking of you (and your DC) 💐

JadoreLeFromage · 30/07/2026 13:08

Sounds like your marriage is over. He doesnt give a shit that you know.

Tell him that for the rest of the holiday you will co parent days or half days on and off and alternative evenings being responsible for the kids. Why should he be chilling pool side and your hearing the "mum mum mum" chorus

Kelkell · 30/07/2026 13:09

He says it’s no one either of us know and it’s ’just some company for the week’. I’ve no idea - couldn’t really see her face in the profile photo.

Milk tankers!!!! She must be a treat
that comment alone would seal my vagina shut

CoolPlayer · 30/07/2026 13:11

You can do better

bgi · 30/07/2026 13:11

'Milk tankers' god that's vile.

I am so sorry OP, what an absolute wanker.

Oh well that's okay then?

Seriously I think I'd be flying home and having a divorce lawyer meet me off the plane.

He isn't even contrite? Disgrace of a man.

NotHisLastName · 30/07/2026 13:11

Milk tankers and shopping around on a family holiday. Wow.

Honestly, the only energy he deserves is "you're dumped". No tears for you, Mr Prick.

Edited

He seems to have checked out completely.

I always wonder what kind of woman can actually find that kind of comments attractive.

Gardenisablooming · 30/07/2026 13:13

Use any free time to plan a better life. Get the ball rolling and contact cms before he can make plans to dodge paying.
I claimed benefits and cms from the day I considered our marriage over..

LaurieFairyCake · 30/07/2026 13:13

He’s completely checked out of parenting, checked out of a relationship with you as he’s using the tired old ‘my wife doesn’t understand me/doesn’t fulfill my needs’ trope.

and now he’s actively trying to fuck someone else.

its over, get out, go home, take the kids Flowers

Letsbe · 30/07/2026 13:13

Hes a smooth tongued bastard isnt he. I think shes welcome to him.

WhereAreWeNow · 30/07/2026 13:14

I'm sorry OP. You deserve better. You deserve an equal partner who does his fair share with the kids and treats you with respect.

CrayCrayBabay · 30/07/2026 13:14

I'm so sorry for you. He sounds vile if only by use of the word 'milk tankers', no wonder you won't go near him! Well done for bringing it up, though going by his lack of sadness or regret at being caught (not to mention that he's a lying cheat) it sounds like you need to call time on the relationship. I'm so sorry for you, this is awful. Sending hugs

PrincessOfPreschool · 30/07/2026 13:16

It's hard to get past the milk tankers tbh. 🥛 🚛

So sorry OP. It must be shocking but hold yourself together. You could tell him you need a day to absorb this news so he has the kids and you just go elsewhere for a day.

After that, be icy. Arrange a rota for looking after the kids vs alone pool time.

Coconutter24 · 30/07/2026 13:16

Ok, so he doesn’t want to be a husband anymore, he should have left you and then moved on not moved on whilst he’s still with you. Although I’m guessing he wanted best of both worlds for an easy life! Even if he doesn’t want to be with you, it doesn’t get him out of being a parent.

Bluepower · 30/07/2026 13:16

I doubt he'll even have her as 'company' if he carries on as he has been.

Gemilo · 30/07/2026 13:17

'Milk tankers' Ugh Spend the rest of your holiday planning your getaway from this creep.

changedusername190 · 30/07/2026 13:17

I would at least make him take a separate room for the rest of the holiday as well as doing his fair share of parenting.
