@Lemonraider - why are you posting that random article about some anecdote of someone's trip to India? Stranger and stranger.
Why do you need to tell me about India? Half my family are Indian. FYI the men are decent and polite to women. Why wouldn't they be?
And if this isn't too terrifying an anecdote for you - my husband's family had to flee Iran in the late 197Os. It's ok though, you don't need to panic. All is safe.
What do you and your family do that they are so amazing they can pontificate and cast people as rapists, based on their ethnicity? Do tell?
My DH came here as a baby with a family who had nothing because they had to leave everything behind. He has created over 2,000 jobs in the U.K. He has paid tens of millions in tax. He is a decent, honest man and a gentleman. We have 2 daughters. He has put them through the best schools in London and top universities. We have given them everything we didn't have as children and we have done our best. I have never claimed benefits in my life. Nor has my husband. He would never disrespect women. You have absolutely no idea. You don't understand the culture in Iran or the real people. My DH has principles that, to be honest, are lost in a lot of men in this country. He has worked so hard and his he has been driven to do this so that his daughters and sons can be anything they want to be. He has the highest respect for women and just as importantly, he has decency, integrity and self-respect as a father and husband.
As for your pathetic attempts to cast aspersions on 'Indian people' with some selected anecdote - are you for real?
I have travelled through India - I spent year travelling through India, Nepal, Pakistan when I was younger? Solo. Yes I was harassed at times. Obviously. But there was a lot more to it than that. I had wonderful experiences. People are just people, everywhere you go. What are you so scared about?
I have had horrendous experiences with British men that I couldn't even get into on here. But I don't use those anecdotes to cast aspersions on all men. That would be insane, no?
I'm sorry, but I can't take you seriously at all. Your attitudes do not reflect British values.
