Was at a seemingly lovely wedding at the weekend. Beautiful setting and lovely ceremony.

One of my friends was chief bridesmaid and she had put so much effort into making the day perfect for the happy couple. But she started to drink a lot after the ceremony and by the end of dinner she was very tipsy and all over the singer from the wedding band. They had been playing some acoustic songs throughout the day and she kept making requests. It was obvious she fancied him.

Later on, one of the other guys from the band was lovely and asked if I had seen their singer because they were setting up for their evening set. I mentioned that my friend was also missing so went to look for them together. We joked that maybe they had eloped or something.

But nothing prepared me for what I was about to witness. Behind the outdoor toilets, my friend was down on her knees giving the singer from the band oral. I was mortified and the other guy from the band told me his friend had done this a few times. We are not even sure if they seen us and I’ve been too embarrassed to bring it up with my friend.

On the up side, the other guy from the band was really sweet and we danced a bit later that night and swapped numbers.

I reckon that if a chief bridesmaid who has put a lot of effort into making her friend's wedding day run smoothly kept it together until the end of dinner, she's well and truly off duty, whatever the other bridesmaids are doing. And gets to do whatever she likes when off the clock. After dinner at the last wedding I attended, the bridesmaids changed into their own clothes after dinner.

Well, I'd have said that being the singer in a wedding band is definitely not the non-rock and roll end of being in a band, so you'll take the free buffet leftovers and sex where you can get it.

I don't think 'classy' sex is a thing. I once had sex in a bunker on a golf course beside a hotel I was attending a wedding at. I mean, I don't recommend it...

Years ago the best man of a groom I knew, was spotted shagging (not by me) one of the bridesmaids, well going into her hotel room. It can’t have been just for coffee. The bridesmaid knew he was engaged but she was newly single and had a bit of a fuck you attitude at the wedding, flirting outrageously with lots of men. Best man had his own fiancée though who spent ages looking for him and his mates kept on giving her different information to throw her off the scent. Read my OP again… I was helping the other band member look for their singer because they had to get set up for the show.

They had been flirting beforehand hence why we went together to look for them. It was nothing to do with being nosey.

If she was single and it was all consensual I really wouldn't see an issue.

Guests (who were at least a couple) at my DB’s second wedding were doing what my mum termed as dirty dancing on the dance floor. She wasn’t impressed! I didn’t really notice them as I was being chatted up by a male guest whom I was trying to escape from, despite my boyfriend being there.

Not sure if this would count but I was at a wedding and after the reception the two Mother in Laws were circling in the lobby of the Hotel aiming for a fight. They had been sniping at each other for most of the day.

I don't think you attend many weddings, do you? I'm quite aware my friends have sexual impulses, and don't necessarily chose the people or the moment i might choose to exercise them in. I don't get exercise about that. My good friend could blow the entire band as long as she was enjoying herself as far as I'm concerned.

The band member did presumably need to find his singer to start playing again, but as it was obvious to you both that your friend and the singer were together and probably having sex, and her bridesmaid duties were over, I don't see (1) why you went looking for her in the first place and (2) why you are shocked they were engaged in a sexual act.

It was in no way your business to reunite the band member with the singer. Of course you were being nosy. You say you were joking with the other band member about them having eloped together, so you knew perfectly well they were together somewhere, and that as she'd been all over him earlier, that it was likely they were having sex. You knew what you were going to find. If you were 'shocked' by 'what you witnessed', that's on you.

Family wedding at a relative’s chateau in France. A lot of guests, but only family staying on the premises.

In the morning the older children (12/13 ish) of the owner were coming down to breakfast on the ground floor - which entailed walking through about 3 large reception/sitting rooms on the first floor, to get to the stairs.

In one of those rooms, a pair of yesterday’s guests, who should have left the premises the night before, were shagging in an ornate antique 4 poster bed that was a feature of the room!

Glad to say that the kids merely found it utterly hilarious!
