To ask about totally inappropriate behaviour at wedding?

Was at a seemingly lovely wedding at the weekend. Beautiful setting and lovely ceremony.

One of my friends was chief bridesmaid and she had put so much effort into making the day perfect for the happy couple. But she started to drink a lot after the ceremony and by the end of dinner she was very tipsy and all over the singer from the wedding band. They had been playing some acoustic songs throughout the day and she kept making requests. It was obvious she fancied him.

Later on, one of the other guys from the band was lovely and asked if I had seen their singer because they were setting up for their evening set. I mentioned that my friend was also missing so went to look for them together. We joked that maybe they had eloped or something.

But nothing prepared me for what I was about to witness. Behind the outdoor toilets, my friend was down on her knees giving the singer from the band oral. I was mortified and the other guy from the band told me his friend had done this a few times. We are not even sure if they seen us and I’ve been too embarrassed to bring it up with my friend.

On the up side, the other guy from the band was really sweet and we danced a bit later that night and swapped numbers.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever witnessed at a wedding?

Don’t be ridiculous. A quick fuck is neither normal nor abnormal, it’s just a matter of choice

A "choice".
Why choose to behave like rutting animals?
I can't see that a quick fuck can be satisfying to either party, especially not the women🤔

That might be the case for you, but I’ve had some great quick fucks.

Also, we are ‘rutting animals’ on two kegs and with big brains. Otherwise the human race would have millennia ago.

@BauhausOfEliott All the stuff on this thread about men being smelly is just completely fucking weird and childish.

I never said all men were "smelly", I said some men were "smelly".

If you'd ever worked in a dry cleaners like I did and had to sort out the mens' suit trousers to be cleaned you would have a different opinion. Once you've had a whiff of "dirty trouser smell" you never forget it.

It's a bit like rancid old cabbage water with a whiff of urine and sweat added for good measure. (Not to mention all the anonymous, suspicious stains around the flies.)

Don't make comments about stuff you know nothing about.

Would have what “millennia” ago? Are you likening yourself to a Neanderthal?

Yes they said my husband is also as smelly as a complete stranger who has been at a wedding all day. Fiver says she wasn’t the only one.

Both were as bad as each other.

I was ‘dating’ my husband for over a decade before we got married. How quaintly old-fashioned your thinking is 😂

Hopefully he didn’t give you an std or the other way about.

When I read threads like this it truly amazes me that there are absolutely no boundaries for people now.

I know that drunk people having sex in toilets is nothing new. What is new is people thinking this is normal and acceptable behaviour.
To me it's just plain sordid.

And please spare me the odious " pearl clutching" comments. I unashamedly would be disgusted at people behaving like rutting animals at a wedding celebration.

Humans are animals and procreation is arguably our most powerful driving force.

Agreed, but we can control it, unlike animals.

Petered out. As was perfectly obvious from the context.

I’ve not mentioned Neanderthals, but we’re certainly just animals with language and extra-big brains. The desire to have sex is hardwired into us all. I don’t know why this seems so unclear to you.

Allonthesametrain · 07/07/2026 20:04

So what? I wouldn't but it's a wedding, a secret BJ is far less than some of the things that go on...

Yes but we are supposed to live in a civilised society with laws and rules for what is acceptable and not acceptable behaviour.
Behaving like wild animals and giving into sexual urges whenever the fancy takes them and in whatever social situation they are in is not in accordance with civilised behaviour.

It is very clear to me that some of us act like animals and some of us don’t. Though that’s not fair to most mammals as they tend to stick with their partner and don’t just randomly shag strangers.

And how two missing words should be perfectly obvious just shows that the person who thinks that has an addled brain.

I wonder what could have caused that?

Of course not. Again, how weird your thought processes are!

Err no.
It's two people who both have an itch they want scratching and aren't bothered who scratches it.🙄

Yup, we all, well seemingly not all, have friends who don't give a fuck and enjoy the moment. A bit envious I'm not as risk taking so love hearing her encounters.

As an Indian who has been to many Indian weddings my first thought is "typical white folk behaviour".

I've been to grand Indian weddings and whilst on some nights there is flee flowing alcohol and people getting merry, this shagging like animals behaviour just isn't a thing. If someone was caught doing this they'd probably bring shame on their family.

Differentforgirls · 07/07/2026 20:13

I’m beginning to see where toxic masculinity comes from.

I’m white. Believe me this isn’t normal.

We had a three course meal at our wedding for 40 guests, starter, main, dessert. The starter was served at 4.30pm and was wrapped up for the band/drinking/dancing by 7.00 . speeches included.
Everyone was served there starter then main then it was supposed to be speeches with champagne and then the cake would be served. During the speech I noticed one couple (husbands friends) were finishing off their dessert. Turns out they had pulled the waiter aside and asked to have their cake early because they wanted to get going but didn’t want to miss out on chocolate cake.

Eh, ok.

Thebinisrightthere · 07/07/2026 20:21

Not at a wedding but I have a similar story. At a work's do on a boat a colleague disappeared with a younger guy from one of our other branches. Another colleague went looking for her and found her on the top deck going down on him. Apparently the colleague's glasses steamed up when she found them! She was later seen clutching her pearls and saying "some people acted very inappropriately".

What brings shame on your family is going to depend very much on the family, though. The last Indian wedding I was at saw the bride making a speech in which she denounced her dead father’s family for rejecting her mother because she was from the wrong caste. It was spine-tinglingly wonderful and suggests that ‘things that might bring shame on your family’ may include things like a love match to a fantastic woman who moved to the UK alone but for her sister, aged 16 and. 17, a year ahead of the rest of the family, and who nursed her husband through decades of ill health.

Maybe you'll be also be envious hearing her experiences of having her (Fallopian ) tubes "blown" in hospital, because she can't conceive due to gonorrheal scarring.

I have a nurse friend who worked at a GUM clinic. She told me that no-one who walked in through the door ever believed they would ever catch an STD. In their minds it just couldn't happen to them.

What a remarkably unpleasant person you would have to be to picture this outcome with such evident relish.

I found your posts amusing at first, but since the arrival of some other bosom-heaving wind-ups, you’ve become emboldened to the point you’re posting some quite disgusting things. It’s uncouth of you, which is ironic.
