But with all the shit in the world going on, and true escapism is anyone else thoroughly excited about the "potential" TS/TK nuptials?

I find I'm far too invested! Pathetic to be so interested? Very possibly but I don't care!

There’s no joke as such, @firstofallimadelight - I’m just kind of saying that even though I don’t know much about Taylor Swift, she’s still brought a small ray of her catchy light music into my domestic grind. And I’ll give her that / thank her for that.

my DH and I were (sadly!!) discussing this earlier - surely if you were Taylor Swift you could choose to get married literally anywhere in the world? Why would you choose MSG?! I did think it was a decoy but then I saw a photo of lots of flowers and wondered if they have maybe absolutely transformed it inside. Who knows!

They do live in a different world. I saw this photo earlier and thought how weird it must be to get used to your personal 'moments' being crowded by photographers and security, all jostling and yelling with flashes and alarms going off. I wonder if they're ever on their own, and how that would feel?

If there were no cameras/security then they wouldn’t be making ridiculous amounts of money from limited talents.

She went to the wedding of Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley a couple of years ago and an insanely large crowd gathered and basically ruined the day because they knew she would be there. I totally understand why she got married where she did. High security, no drones, no helicopters, big venue.

I'm sure it looked beautiful inside. They've been building something inside for days and someone anonymous bought every single high grade cala lily in new york this week...

I think I would struggle to separate ‘kissing my boyfriend because I’m surrounded by cameras all day every day and don’t really notice them’ and ‘kissing my boyfriend because last time we did it on camera I sold more records’, and I’m not sure how I feel about that 😵‍💫.

When I see people write ‘MSG’ like that, my first thought is ‘mono sodium glutamate’.

Reuters suggests this is their THIRD wedding, having had a private legal marriage elsewhere and then a reception for 100 at MSG.

I think, for possibly the first time ever, she's done exactly what she and her now husband want to do and decided that for this one event all the critics can go and f**k themselves. And good for them. Whether anyone else would have chosen MSG, whether shutting down roads was selfish, whether Adam Sandler was a tasteful officiant are all questions they don't have to answer.

And all the comments I've seen today predicting their divorce says more about the commenters than them.

I wish them a lifetime of happiness and a whole block looking like them.

Your deluded, it's one big photo opportunity and multi million dollar picture deal that is what it is all about.

I am 36 like Taylor and also getting married this year. I love how she normalised having a series of disastrous relationships / bad dating choices before finding your person in your mid-30s. Us adventurous millennial women feel seen 🥲💜

Yes this! Also, for 2 celebs getting married aged 36 and neither of them married before? Quite rare! Scarlet Jo was on husband #3 at that age and you never hear anyone criticise her for it (as it should be).

Those roads are closed often for various reasons. They were closed the day this closure was announced.

People just love to complain about her.
