But with all the shit in the world going on, and true escapism is anyone else thoroughly excited about the "potential" TS/TK nuptials?

I find I'm far too invested! Pathetic to be so interested? Very possibly but I don't care!

I’m completely on the same thought train that this may be a fake wedding set up and the real thing is somewhere more secluded and romantic than madison sq garden 😭😭

I wondered the same. MSG is a horrible wedding venue. Im sure they’d make it lovely (they can afford to!) but it is quite odd.

I think of MSG as boxing venues rather than a wedding one. Even the super fan lady writer on tv this morning seemed a bit shocked that she’d choose this venue.
Taylor was brought up on a Christmas tree farm yet chosen concrete central for a wedding venue.
I imagined a big garden setting or a ranch or a lavish hotel.

i am deeply invested too.
told a year 1 class that taylor is getting married tomorrow.
then we spent a phonics lesson thinking of words with /ay/ or /or/ in them.

year 1 class were almost invested. i was neck-deep in invested-ment.

I think it’s pretty clear they had a small private ceremony elsewhere whilst everybody was looking at MSG and now it’s the party location. They can make it what they want, it’s secure and private and the public can’t get out of hand.

New Yorkers are not too impressed apparently !
It isn’t the prettiest of places. Has good security, so maybe that was a bigger factor than what it looks like.

And it’s big enough to have a huge number of guests which she clearly wanted. Lovely romantic farmhouses etc can’t accommodate that many

I don’t like her music much, but they seem happy and decent people and I think it’s nice that people are interested in them and their nuptials.

I thought given what they were saying on the news about the underground entrances (so paparazzi can't see you going in) plus fully covered and security tighter than a gnats ass (so no chance of any paparazzi inside either) it's not a bad shout.

And it'll hold a LOT of people.

I saw a car drive through a kind of curtain on the news. Maybe they then had to drive off to a different place … It did look very cloak and dagger.

I love TS. I can’t think anyone would be unhappy about her wedding. The hate she’s getting on SM is most odd.

It feels a waste of money to me, but yes, if you have that amount spare I suppose they think it’s worth it and they give a lot away as well.

I thought it was a decoy as well, but given the actual people present last night, I think they are having a giant party there.

I also think it is likely they already had a quieter wedding where they actually got legally married.

Like many people in the U.S., I think the big wedding will be symbolic, not the legal one.

I think she and TK absolutely made the right decision. She has always made it very plain that she loves a big 'hoopla'. She told Graham Norton exactly that (and he is there !) Most of her life has been spent in the public eye, then playing huge arenas which she and her team plan down to the most meticulous detail to deliver incredible performances. TK the same, playing ball 🤭 They match each other's energy. And most of all, I really like that she has taken the wind out of Trump's bloated ego focussed and divisive 'celebration' of 250 years of USA independence. And, just like everything that Taylor does, I do not think that was unintentional. He will be furious her wedding is the hotspot in the news, US and globally. GO GO Taylor and Travis !

Agreed. Loving the fact that I'm cuddling up with my pre-pub daughter watching it. She normally hates me!!

Mind you, the publicity and the magazine deal will probably pay for a lot of it too. She’s bound to have done a deal with someone I bet!
