Robot hoover and I've just bought a hydrovac so I can mop the floors whilst also picking up any dog hair the robot may have missed. Might sound OTT but I have two dogs and one is a GSD who leaves tumbleweeds every day in the summer.

Erborian cleaning gel

Heated drying rack from JL. I don't hate doing laundry as much as I used to. I have had it 2 yrs and it still features highly on my I'm glad I have list.

Could you share which JL dryer please?

Silk pillowcases! I thought it was an old wives tale, but they do actually stop my hair going into a crumpled frizz. You can get cheap ones on Amazon that are perfectly fine.

My house (first time buyers at 40)

A muslin blanket - warm with a blanket on the winter and cool on its own in the summer

A Cool Crutches Walking stick

An electric bed. I spend a lot of time in bed with chronic illnesses so being able to sit up is sooooo good

An outside tap double adapter - so I can leave my hosepipe attached and also fill up my watering can .

Thanks - I need to investigate. Sounds like a great gadget.

I got a device for my cat flap that locks the flap when it detects my cats have prey in their mouth. Best purchase ever (although not cheap)

Link please!

Thin bath towels. Really hard to find nowadays. Went to a local market recently and was delighted to find some as I didn't think they were manufacted anymore.

Dry your body and hair in a fraction of the time fluffy thick towels do. Dry on the line in no time at all. Great for the environment too.
Might not be luxurious to look at but I cannot recommend them enough.

AltitudeCheck · 07/06/2026 17:26

@midnights92 do you have the Oxo vegetable chopper with the grid/box or the one where you have to push a plunger kind of handle up and down? If it's the first type... is it strong enough to do root veg like carrots and swede? Thanks ❤️

Gresley · 07/06/2026 17:31

8 new M & S T-shirts one size bigger than normal so they don't stick to me during heatwaves and are nice and cool.

Goldendoodlef · 07/06/2026 17:32

A snoreeze mouthgard. I suspect my snoring was due to sleep apnea. I sleep so much better since using the mouthgard and no longer wake up feeling like I haven't slept.

Eufy robovac and mop. Amazing.

MikeRafone · 07/06/2026 17:32

The rice cookers - can you cook in other ingredients or just rice? So for example Chau Sui dishes?

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 07/06/2026 17:39

Aveeno clarify shampoo and the matching conditioner have made my hair lovely .

A pink jumper from Sainsbury’s get lots of compliments.

Specialagentblond · 07/06/2026 17:42

Some bedding plants for my pots at the front of the house, and a hanging basket. All make the house look a hundred times better (despite peeling front door).

Dyson hairdryer. So much better than my old one!

Can I recommend Frenchic Al Fresco paint for your front door? It’s so easy to use and looks fabulous.

muddyford · 07/06/2026 17:46

I got a bicycle for Christmas after almost three decades of not riding one. It arrived in March and although I'm not going far (out for 20 minutes to half an hour) it's brilliant and helping my arthritis.

Mandards · 07/06/2026 17:48

I don’t mean to hijack but if anyone can recommends a portable air conditioning unit, I would be so grateful!

letshavetea · 07/06/2026 17:49

@Notellinganyone - please tell me where? Thanks

WWLD · 07/06/2026 17:59

Table top dishwasher for my tiny kitchen (life saver, as I am disabled, and standing to wash up used to be difficult), chopped, frozen onions and garlic (for the same reason) and a silent night heat genie self-heating blanket.

I agree with pp who aren't snag fans, especially for their chub rub shorts - I have recently found some 'bands' which do the job well, without all the extra material making you too warm!

A can opener which works! It just hooks abd glides...Lovely.

Oooh which one please. Have been through about 5 of the damn things recently trying to find one which actually works.

Ireallycantthinkofagoodone · 07/06/2026 18:03

Ryobi cordless pressure washer. De-webs the soffits/fascias/gutters, garage doors and window frames in my bungalow so quickly. Then I just need to dry the windows with a microfibre cloth. (I do get a bit wet myself while doing it though).

Acommonwomble · 07/06/2026 15:57

My suri 2.0 toothbrush. I love it! It's so quiet, the charge lasts ages and my teeth feel super clean.

Has anyone tried any of those gel bras I keep seeing advertised? No underside, but plenty of support (allegedly)

I second the Suri toothbrush. Absolutely bloody awesome 👌
