Just heard Nigel talk about this on LBC following Digwa sentencing. Also saw the video... I'm shocked and so saddened. Not sure what my aibu is but I think we need to ban all religious weapons for a start . What do u think ? Are you in police ? Are you treating people differently?

Palestine marches, or have you lost track of what you're commenting on? You presumably have no objection to them.

Please go back and read my post! Where did I say I have no objection to them 🙄

You quoted me on a post where I was responding to another poster then made some dumb nonsensical comment that made no sense! Either explain what you’re talking about or I will stop responding to you.

There's absolutely no need to continue with your aggression. I'm trying to understand whether you're condemning violence on all sides. Whether you support everyone's right to march. It's all quite simple stuff..

"Win a few seats"? They currently have 72. Not that far behind the Conservatives, who have 116.

🥱 And… what are they actually doing? Again, they pop up at a general election then disappear again! You have obviously got so offended at what I said about your beloved party lol

But how can you object to them?

They’re entitled to express their opinion, right?

Freedom of speech, etc etc.

No it was a sarcastic/ jokey comment in response to the other poster which I thought was quite clear from the way I worded it. I was not saying I don’t object to them at all, quite the opposite if you actually read what I have written. That’s why I’m so confused by your comments.

What and people on the right aren’t? Don’t they get free speech? Have you heard yourself?

CaesarAugusta · Today 19:13

I read watch/ read all news channels including the BBC. Never hear anything about them and haven’t done in years. Maybe the odd bit about Ed davey but I had to google who he was at one point. Think the lib dems are past their peak now lol

You should pay more attention to what goes on in Parliament. They've been doing some excellent work, for example, in exposing the sheer folly in the government's proposals for SEND provision in schools.

Why would you object to Palestine marches? Don't you believe in freedom of speech?

Corianda · Today 19:14

I wonder if we should arm the police (increase / improve police training g etc as required) -you wouldn’t get people phoning up and telling lies - they’d be more likely to run off and hide. People don’t mess about when the police are armed. Which they are in most countries. People would think twice about carrying knives etc if a police person felt threatened they’d shoot the knife carrier.
I know everyone will say no way but I think there could be advantages.
i have lived in a country where police are armed

Well they haven’t this time. The leaders of every political party except Farage have respected the Nowak family’s wishes.

Exactly.

My point was…. Why is it ok for them to have marches but not people who are concerned about migration/ the current justice system and how it’s led to the murder of the young man who is at the topic of this thread?

No, he has acknowledged the situation and had more of a backbone than any of the other parties, who have just dealt in platitudes. Kemi might have criticised his response but she agreed with the pragmatic and robust action that needs to be taken in putting a stop to policing based on race.

Seend · Today 19:16

Flyingintotheunknown · Today 18:57

What was the point of that daft comment? What were you trying to achieve? Apart from you love an exclamation mark!!!!!! Nothing else of any substance in your response to me

The number of times you use the phrase ‘race card’ on this thread, says something about you. And I afraid it’s not good.

Or, to put it in simple language you might just understand, ‘it’s pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

OneStarAwake · Today 19:16

What violence has he 'organised'?

Who organised last night's protest?

So now you are saying you don't object to either type of march? Or you do object to both? Or something else? I'm not really interested in what you think other people think is OK. What do you believe?

So you don't agree the race card was played? How strange that you don't think lying about the reasons for stabbing an innocent kid makes you feel uncomfortable.

CaesarAugusta · Today 19:18

Flyingintotheunknown · Today 18:06

Oh don’t ya just love it when gaslighters try to accuse you of gaslighting! Doesn’t wash with me sorry! Nice try though

Errm, that isn't an accusation of gaslighting. Read it again.

Oh here we go! Yes and the amount of times people have used the word racist to shut down and dismiss other people is, to put in your language, not good!

You have no logical argument to put across. As soon as these numpties stop using the race card as a way to demean, belittle and shut down people who they don’t agree with then maybe I’ll also stop mentioning it… until then….ill carry on. Sorry you don’t like it but I don’t really give a shit

Do something about the state of this country! Henry Nowak wouldn’t have been treated this way hadn’t the left started politicising the word “racist” so that perpetrators of crime can just throw the racist card about and play the victim! Oh and saying “lessons will be learned”. Just need him to say his “let me be clear” line now!

Do you seriously think that Digwa was purely motivated by the left politicising the word "racist"? What precisely is your evidence for that?

QED. The term ‘race card’ is always used by racists.

In this case, the disgusting perpetrator made false allegations of racism and it was completely unacceptable, as was the behaviour of the police. And a poor innocent boy lost his life.

That is how to describe it. Racists use the term ‘race card’ to minimise genuine instances of prejudice and discrimination and it’s not a phrase decent people use. I wouldn’t use the term, any more than I would say, ‘antisemitism card’.
