2 Tier Britain and Policing - Digwa

Wellwhatnowbellaboo · Yesterday 09:12

Just heard Nigel talk about this on LBC following Digwa sentencing. Also saw the video... I'm shocked and so saddened. Not sure what my aibu is but I think we need to ban all religious weapons for a start . What do u think ? Are you in police ? Are you treating people differently?

Be honest, how often do you disparage the poor as 'racists' and cringe at the sight of your own flag? It's honestly ridiculous, virtue signalling nonsense..thankfully this horrendous and tragic murder might lead to the beginning of the end of people's sick attitude towards British people despite them welcoming with open arms people from literally every corner of the globe..

Personally, I disparage the racists as racists, irrespective of means. I assume you do too? One of the worst is known to have millions in his offshore bank accounts, although he's strangely reluctant to answer questions about it.

I never understand this right-wing perception that left wingers don't like either the English flag or the Union Jack. You will find them very happily waving them during the World Cup, at the Last Night of the Proms, and various other quintessentially British occasions. Where you will find them taking them down is when they are being used purely to intimidate non-white people.

Welcoming people from all over the world is one of the things Britain can be most proud of. We are essentially a mongrel nation, having taken in people from other countries going right back to the Romans and beyond, and having taken in refugees for several centuries. But that's a proud tradition that last night's racists are desperate to stop. So who is really upholding solid British traditions here?

You do love an exclamation mark, don’t you!!!!

Btw, I am yet to meet someone who uses the term ‘race card’ who isn’t racist. I think it’s a qualifying characteristic.

What was the point of that daft comment? What were you trying to achieve? Apart from you love an exclamation mark!!!!!! Nothing else of any substance in your response to me

I’ve got to say I’m appalled by the way some people have turned against Sikhs because of one idiots wrong doings.

They have been here for 70+ years. Do tonnes of charity work with feeding the homeless all over the UK. Totally integrated on the whole.

My ex is Sikh so perhaps I’m biased.

They literally cannot use their kirpan first. It is very clear. Sikhism took on a “militarised” aspect because they were basically being forced to convert to another religion.

im so disgusted that years of harmony have seemingly been wiped out.

A Sikh charity really helped my mums village during the floods we had years ago

Were the Sikhs rioting and baying for blood when the Sikh woman was raped recently? She was specifically targeted for her background.

Flyingintotheunknown · Today 18:56

Oh no that’s all ok, because it suits a certain one sided agenda. Didn’t you realise it’s only far right racist violent thugs who do this and violent racist thugs of other extremes don’t exist anywhere else.
Your point is far too logical for them to comprehend

By your logic those marches are also fine.

Gloriia · Today 18:58

Twisterlollies · Today 18:53

People seem to think Palestine march violence and criminal damage is acceptable though and just part and parcel of lively processions?

Oh, only some protests are allowed it seems. Anything against Israel, anything 'BLM' fill your boots get outraged and maybe loot JD sports while you're at it.

Anything protesting about the horrific murder of an innocent white student and the useless police at the scene nooo, shh! Sit down and be quiet.

It is perfectly legitimate to discuss Farage and Robinson. Both have used Henry Nowack's murder to further their agendas.

Farage is an elected MP. He won his seat in the 2024 general election.

There is a palpable feeling of anger amongst many of the electorate that the police response to Henry's harrowing plight (ie the police's disbelief that it was even possible, in the circumstance, that he'd even been injured never mind fatally) is indicative of a worrying disequilibrium. It is Farage's job to raise the concerns he hears from his constituents. Why do you have a problem with that? As I pointed out, he's an elected MP; are you not in favour of democracy?

MyLimeGuide · Today 19:00

BackToLurk · Today 18:55

And when they do people are entitled to comment on it. Or is Farage somehow beyond criticism?

Nope. You comment away i was just highlighting its ALL politicians that do this.

Politians are renowned for using current affairs and news to promote their viewpoints. Its called politics. Its not a new thing ALL politicians do it.

They don't normally organise or incite violence.

Robinson isn't a politician btw

Eh?

Well what would be your objection to them?

NovemberMorn · Today 19:01

This thread has turned into a gaggle of posters desperately trying to score points. It surely was not started with that intention.
Maybe it's time to pull it.

I have zero concerns about Sikhs. I don’t think they should be able to carry a blade for religious purposes, not because I think they’re any more likely than anyone else to use it, but because I believe completely and utterly in the Rule of Law - that is, the law applies to everyone with no exemptions. Creating exemptions breeds resentment. Beyond that I have zero concern about the Sikh community in general - this was a highly unusual and I think one-off incident.

I also see no grounds for these marchers all being ‘white supremacists’. I appreciate this link is the Mail, but I don’t think they would be stopping to shake his hand if the whole point was white supremacy would they?

Sikh taxi driver shakes hands with Henry Nowak protesters

Kulwinder Singh, a 47-year-old taxi driver from Southampton, welcomed the protest in the city and those who were marching last night following the 18-year-old student's death last December.

Palestine marches, or have you lost track of what you're commenting on? You presumably have no objection to them.

Why don't you report it then if you think it should 'be pulled' rather than rudely using terms like gaggle which surely doesn't contribute much to the debate?

Just click on report and explain your reasons?

I never hear nothing about the Lib Dem’s until it’s a general election and then they pop up out of nowhere, win a few seats and then disappear only to be never heard of again. I think the time they were in a coalition with the tories is probably the most bit of airtime they’ve had in a long time!

"Win a few seats"? They currently have 72. Not that far behind the Conservatives, who have 116.
