I have one of those on the side in the utility room....it's never made it to a loo yet.
My son bought a slap chop. It works but is a faff to wash up.
We have a nutribullet - i won that in a raffle and gave it to my mum who wanted a smoothy maker. She used it twice and gave it back to me. It's actually really good for drinks, smoothies and milkshakes. I just had to buy a replacement blade as it was cracked.
I have a bra on the way.....not sure what type but it kept telling me how comfy it is.
I bought refillable deodorant- love the concept, love the packaging, hate the price and the big yellow stain that was left over all my clothes.
I bought refillable soap/shower gel- can't remember which - only to find the refills come in a plastic bottle? I haven't used it yet as I am struggling with the benefit? And so I am put off!!
I like to use a hard soap in the shower and was interested in the plastic scrubbing brush that holds your soap too - but it costs a fortune. I will stick with my bar alone. Although if someone can create a bag I can hang it in in the shower that would be useful.

If you can knit or crochet, get cotton yarn and make your own scrub mitts using the soap . A wee pocket, drawstring to close and hang . Even if you cant crochet and only learn the basic single crochet - easy peasy

Both my sister and I bought the abdominizer. I think those kicked around for another decade unused,

CheeryOchreCat · 30/05/2026 22:33

Dock & Bay towels for me. The kids’ ponchos are ok, but the towels are meh. Decathlon microfibre towels are amazing and about a third of the price.

Crispynoodle · 30/05/2026 22:47

also my friend and I both got duped by a ‘company’ called Aiden’s of Kildare whose prices were reassuringly expensive enough. Wouldn’t be so bad but the pair of us live on the island of Ireland so should’ve known better

Laurmolonlabe · 30/05/2026 23:39

Ididn't even know any of these were popular- sorry.

No collagen powder

I’m so glad! I have bought the elevator from trinny after catching my neck in the mirror and thinking it looked for 64 than my 44. I’ve everything crossed for it to live up to the hype!

thinkingaboutipswich · 31/05/2026 00:14

Omg I have the crimpet, got two kinds and put them in teen DC stockings last year - no one’s used them! I need to go and buy those tiny wraps to try then out!

Bloody love my air fryer though, we use it multiple times a day!

Tha ks for the suggestion. A bit advance for me. I can knit one pearl one....but don't!

@Cheeryochrecat thanks for the link. Going to look at the chocolate soap too.

@PorkPieForStarters done and purchased.

Silverbirchleaf · 31/05/2026 06:10

Just had to look up a Crimpet because I didn’t know what it was.

Oh good question! The shorts and the trousers look so brilliant.

I have jeans and shorts. They are amazing

BiteSizedLife · 31/05/2026 06:26

That heatless curl silky sausage shaped thing you wrap your hair around.

Doesnt work. Total shite. My hair looks a right state. No idea how people get results tbh

Aberdyfi · 31/05/2026 07:09

Successful buys: I’m rather enjoying the Nida moisturiser. Genuine Nordic socks are wonderful things. Nutrabullet is fairly well used. Miracle de Paris is pretty good as I am dreadful with fake tan. It does look a bit make up like on the first day but more natural after that.

Heatless curlers went in the bin. Glov micro needles too complicated.

My tymo air brush is in the post.

This needs to stop.

I've just ordered some fit over sunglasses that I've been seeing advertised on Facebook for weeks. My glasses have ridiculously expensive quite complex lenses so I only have my distance prescription in my prescription sunglasses which is fine for driving but not much else. I'll probably bite the bullet and pay for the same lenses in my sunglasses as my normal ones when I have my eye test next year but the frustration at not being able to read a book outside in the recent hot weather has meant I have fallen prey to advertising. I am fully expecting them to be crap and/or look ridiculous, but at 2 pairs for £33 I figured it was worth the risk. (I'm going to look like Elton John on a bad day aren't I?!)

I have exactly this problem! Can’t quite bring myself to spend £800+ on sunglasses but, aaargh! Would you mind sharing a link to the Elton Johnifiers?

craftycowbag · 31/05/2026 07:42

I have the over sunglasses and they are alright. I use them especially in the car. They won’t win any fashion awards but they are ok.

Can anyone give me a link for good Nordic socks please?

Has anyone bought this foundation?

Forgot to mention the Tymo brush. It was useless on my hair.

FruityFrog · 31/05/2026 08:11

Do you remember those fabletics leggings advertised heavily during COVID. You paid £15 or something and you got some funky leggings but the small print signed you up to paying £15 a month for streamed exercise classes. I had forgotten all about it until I saw a news story recently about a woman who hadn't realised she'd subscribed to a monthly payment, had paid them thousands over the years and was now trying to sue them! Nice leggings though.

Clare Lane smiling while standing on a coastal path on a sunny day. Clare is wearing a green sweater, white t-shirt and sunglasses. She has light brown curly hair that is blowing in the breeze.

'Two pairs of Fabletics leggings ended up costing me £5,000'

Clare Lane says she had "no idea" she signed up to a subscription when she bought the items online.

Oh, we are all capable of being seduced by heatless-curl methods. I mean, who doesn't want heatless curls? That's the Holy Grail! I wouldn't feel sheepish about that one. It's like offering a dog steak and expecting it to say no.

My daughter has a heatless curler...when she comes in the front room asking me to put her hair in it before bed I feel like crying

What? Why? It takes me less than 2 mins. And I’ve very long hair and use it most nights.

im a little confused the way people seem to be struggling with it, I don’t as said do it on my head as such, but I just sit it round the back of my neck, then wind my hair round the ends, I get up in the morning, shove a couple of big curlers in the top as I shower and get ready for the day, then brush it out and have soft bouncy curls.

My husband thought Hampton and Astley towels were the bees knees...I find them very heavy and a pain to dry. I much prefer Tesco towels

Katemax82 · 31/05/2026 09:13

I used smol.for years, the only reason I'm not currently subscribed is I've got a backlog of little tablets and I like zoflora as well

BuildbyNumbere · 31/05/2026 09:21

I found the Gem & Tonic range to be an overpriced letdown sadly!
