Please raise a complaint about the unduly lenient sentencing of the three teenage boys who have avoided prison after raping two teenage girls.

Ask for a Crown Court sentence to be reviewed

How to complain to the Attorney General's Office if you think someone's sentence is too low - and what happens if the Court of Appeal get involved

I’m horrified by this, I’ve filled in the form. Hope it makes a difference.

tothefareast80 · 21/05/2026 17:45

I’ve also objected. That sentencing is utterly ridiculous. Those poor poor girls.

Glitterbiscuits · 21/05/2026 18:01

I have filled in the form, submitted and been given a reference number

I beg everyone reading as to do the same
It takes 2 minutes.

Lets show them how angry we are.

Does anyone have any journalists or media contacts?

Maray1967 · 21/05/2026 18:06

Done. Harriet Harman will be hearing from me as well.

MalteserGeezee · 21/05/2026 18:08

The level of plotting and malevolence involved in these crimes is sickening. Like, psychopath behaviour. Lock the little cunts up for life.

BigBrownBoogyingBear · 21/05/2026 19:01

I wonder if the CPS will appeal the sentence? I hope they do

Imagine how that girl feels having gone through the assault, found the courage to report, endured a trial and all of them recieved a smack on the wrist. Barbaric.

Thehorticulturalhussie · 21/05/2026 19:46

I have signed. I pointed out that this is not justice.

spoooooons · 21/05/2026 19:52

signed

REP22 · 21/05/2026 20:02

Signed. Those poor, poor girls and their families.

awfulapril · 21/05/2026 20:03

Are you an expert in youth court sentencing guidelines?
were you there during the trial?
did you read the reports made for the Judge?

Meadowfinch · 21/05/2026 20:13

Let us hope that Donna Jones, Hampshire PCC, demands that this is revisited.

Labour claim to stand against VAWG but that is nothing but a hollow pointless lie if these sentences are allowed to stand.

Not, the majority of us are not (JP here though) but most people have an innate sense of justice and know when it has not been served. The fact of considering these boys futures to be more important than those of their victims is outrageous to any sane person of either sex.

Beautifulscribbles · 21/05/2026 20:27

Signed. Truly horrific

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 21/05/2026 21:20

i have sent a complaint. All girls and women in Southampton must feel so unsafe.

I wrote something to that effect on my complaint, there was no ambiguity these were stranger attacks that were pre meditated in broad daylight

There is another thread on this too - you can complete the online form and copy and paste a link to the news article in the field that asks for the name(s) of the defendent(s) criminals.

They all called boy a b and c, it’s Southampton court today for rape , they should be able to work it out from that

There is something queasy about this sentence. The case as reported seems to have a lot of aggravated features. I also didn’t like the emphasis on ADHD as a factor for two of the offenders which seems to be indicative that they had less culpability for what happened. And it seems to have been repeat offending and filming of the rapes. I know the judiciary have discretion but I wonder what the calculation was here not to give custody.

pointythings · 21/05/2026 21:29

Reported. ADHD is not an excuse, nor is a difficult home life. This is rape we're talking about.

Butthechildrentheylovethebooks · 21/05/2026 21:30

Form submitted.

This is my closest city. Absolutely bloody unbelievable. The trauma added to what the victim has already experienced is unimaginable. What the actual fuck!

Hopefully the Court of Appeal will be clear.

Iamthemoom · 21/05/2026 21:49

Done.

Absolutely outraged by this. Not that it would justify the sentence but it wasn’t even a one off, they did it twice to 2 separate girls. Well twice they were caught, and so few victims report it’s likely there are other victims.

Those girls will face a lifetime of PTSD and other effects of these awful attacks. Meanwhile, these boys get a slap on the wrist. That judge is not fit for his job.
