Please raise a complaint about the unduly lenient sentencing of the three teenage boys who have avoided prison after raping two teenage girls.

Ask for a Crown Court sentence to be reviewed

Once you have complained, you could also email your MP asking them to complain.

Done it, pretty simple.

hattie43 · 21/05/2026 16:38

This beyond belief . The judge needs sacking .

I have signed.Am also writing to our new Minister for Women and Girls, Harriet Harman.

I suggest you write via your MP. Harman won't even see your letter if you write to her directly, unless you are a constituent of hers. Outline your concerns and say you'd like your MP to write to Harman on your behalf.

Hadenough32 · 21/05/2026 16:44

Wow. Awful..signed

BigBrownBoogyingBear · 21/05/2026 16:45

The judge said he would 'avoid criminalising these children unnecessarily'. But they'd committed two premeditated gang rapes? So it's not criminalising them unnecessarily at all!

hattie43 · 21/05/2026 16:46

Done .

doodleZ1 · 21/05/2026 16:49

Sick of this. We shouldn’t be making excuses for these degenerates. If they are old enough to plan a gang rape they are old enough to face serious and long term consequences. We are told by politicians that they want to reduce violence against women and girls and then this? I’ve filled the form in. Simple to do. The bastards need birched on their bare arses and then incarcerated. Not going home to their mummy who cried when she heard the sentence. She should be ashamed, I know I would be.

The judge said he would 'avoid criminalising these children unnecessarily'. But they'd committed two premeditated gang rapes? So it's not criminalising them unnecessarily at all!

Even the wording annoys me. The perpetrators are referred to as "children" but the victims aren't. infantilizing the poor rapists of their responsibility of their premeditated actions, with no regard to the trauma suffered by two children subjected to an unprovoked and sinister act of barbaric sexual violence.

Mumofteenandtween · 21/05/2026 16:51

Done. Included “Victims were children”, “More than one victim”, “Knife used” and “Filmed and put on social media” on reasons why it should be reviewed.

AtLeastIDidntUseASpoon · 21/05/2026 16:54

I’ve complained too.
Those poor girls, after what they’ve gone through, to receive next to no justice at all is terrible. That judge should face an inquiry.
What they did was horrific, and they should have received a lengthy prison sentence. But now, a few years they’ll be free from the youth rehabilitation order and will go on with their lives, but the girls won’t. This will be with them forever.
It’ll happen more and more because these rapists know they can get away with it.
Women and girls are let done by the justice system time and time again.

Who are the 2% in this group who think OP is being unreasonable!??

Thank you for sharing my links @Gingerbreadtreethe more who complain the better. I’m done with woman and girls being treated like this.

I hope you don’t mind. I’m adding the words of the strong and brave girls here also:

The victim impact statements described profound and ongoing trauma experienced by both girls after the assaults.

The 15-year-old victim said the attack had destroyed her sense of safety and badly affected her mental health. In a poem included with her statement, she expressed feelings of despair, emotional numbness, and suicidal thoughts. She described living with fear and the lasting psychological impact of being assaulted while others laughed and filmed it.

The 14-year-old victim said she felt emotionally disconnected after the assault and struggled to trust or relate to people around her. She described feeling numb, withdrawn, and permanently changed by what happened.

My heart absolutely breaks for them. Coming forward must have been so difficuult for them and now they have been utterly let down.

I'd like to know a bit more about the judge. Is he prone to this sort of leniency?

Who are the 2% in this group who think OP is being unreasonable!??

Parents who bring up boys like this?

Littledidsheknow · 21/05/2026 17:00

My blood is boiling. “Teenage girls” yes, but actually, they were children. Gang-raped children.

It’s not the first time I’ve seen the emphasis being on protecting the future reputation of actual fucking rapists rather than justice for female victims.
Horrific.

That judge should be sacked.

BringaBintarongAlong · 21/05/2026 17:01

I am so angry about this

Men? Or idiots who just want to be contrary.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 21/05/2026 17:14

I came here to see if there was a thread on this. Just read the article and then had to read it again because I wasn’t sure what I’d missed. My brain was saying: rape - filmed - knife - no custodial sentence: must have misunderstood somehow. So I read it again, and no, I hadn’t misunderstood. That really is how much women and girls are valued these days 😡

jamestiger150 · 21/05/2026 17:15

Signed.

Balloonhearts · 21/05/2026 17:16

They committed an adult crime and should be tried as adults. I mean, I'd happily see capital punishment brought back in for these cases.

Bubblebathbefore8 · 21/05/2026 17:16

Let’s all sign, share and get awareness raised

good advice.

WaterlooBridge · 21/05/2026 17:24

Absolutely astonishing sentence, so many aggravating features to the multiple offences.

Those poor girls.

Have also submitted a request for a review.

EwwSprouts · 21/05/2026 17:26

Furious. Will write to my female MP who has daughters.
