Absolute balls! Do you really think all doctors, lawyers, accountants etc. come from wealthy, privately educated backgrounds? Very few do. In my DD3's intake of undergrad trainee accountants at one of the big 4 accounting firms one went to private school. My degree qualified engineer son-in-law? State educated, no spare money in that family. I could come up with dozens more examples but that would be boring.

Friends sister in big 4, she went to a bog standard not-well-regarded comprehensive.
