Emma Willis

Josh widdicombe
Johannes Radebe

The two men would join Emma as a kind of 'hosting trio'

I think it doesnt need Josh Widdicombe sorry

Tom Allen would have been a good choice I think.
JW is a bizarre choice. I like him a lot but not presenting something like Strictly.

Juliadiesalone · 19/05/2026 18:52

Ugh he is everywhere and is so so annoying. Annoying nasally whine and his awful ‘woe is me’ routine whilst he mumbles unfunny things. Oddest choice I’ve ever heard.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 19/05/2026 18:49

How long until theres a change of hosts do you reckon?

I honestly can see Jojo's role being quietly phased out by the halfway point and they just hope we don't notice. Then he quietly rejoins the benched dancers for group numbers.

ilovebrie8 · 19/05/2026 18:55

Claudia was fab ! She really was great.

Tess wasn’t, she was as wooden as heck especially considering how long she’d done the show. I doubt anyone else will employ her as she’s dull and lacks any personality.

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 19/05/2026 18:55

OriginalPedant · 19/05/2026 18:48

This will be a massive flop. I guarantee it.

I think Claudia left because she saw Strictly’s popularity dwindling and Tess because, well, she’s rubbish and has always been propped up by her co-presenters. These presenters can’t save it.

I think, given Tess has also ended her marriage this spring, she may well have been having a “fresh start” year.

Not sure which one went first, but can see either resigning would push the other to go too, Tess because she was fresh start, Claudia because with the new talk show and traitors, she probably didn’t need the hassle of it anymore.

Tom Allen would be good in the Tess role, not so much the caring, supportive bit in Claudia role.

I don’t like Emma Willis she is so incredibly dull.

I agree but it never did Tess any harm 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree. But then I think Emma Willis is the very definition of bland, so I’m not sure why she gets any work at all.

beasmithwentworth · 19/05/2026 19:13

Whilst I agree JW is a left-field choice I really understand why they chose him. Emma is the Tess (reliable, will stick to the autocue, safe pare of hands, kind) and JW will be Claudia. I have seen him twice live recently (once last week in his show and a few months ago on Claudia’s talk show) and he is extremely quick witted, ad libs, thinks on his feet and is hilarious and empathetic. They have obviously gone by what they have seen in the auditions.

In fact the only one I don’t get is Johannes much as I love him.

HermioneHerman · 19/05/2026 19:15

I feel bad for being mean but so disappointed that the Josh rumours were true 🫣. I do think he's funny and don't dislike him as such but just can't stand his nasal voice! I have to turn the radio off when he stands in for Romesh.

Emma is a perfectly fine choice, but I'd have loved to see her with Zoe (no chance the producers would have gone with another blonde/brunette all-woman pairing though - frustrating since there aren't any other big prime time shows presented by two women - but they were always going to mix it up). I also really like an earlier poster's shout re Emma and Ed Gamble, and definitely Tom Allen. Johannes seems lovely but not sure how it will go with him not being an experienced presenter. I personally don't enjoy Janette on ITT, stopped watching after Rylan left (and I liked her a lot as a dancer). Will have to wait and see!

I love Strictly so will definitely still watch but yes, disappointed.

I can’t abide Tom Allen or JW. Zoe would have been good and two female presenters worked well with Tess and Claudia. I probably won’t bother with it.

ilovebrie8 · 19/05/2026 20:51

Zoe was my top pick!

By the grace of God we didn't end up with Paddy Peter Kay's coattails McCguiness.

This is true

😭 i'm giving it a couple of years, but i reckon they'll shuffle the hosts and we'll be left with two

I think Claudia was terrible. Not funny at all.

I really like Josh so am rooting for him!

Empress13 · 20/05/2026 05:35

So how will it work with 3 presenters? Is it E doing T job and both J&J upstairs?

LittleRobins · 20/05/2026 06:34

Well done to them for getting the job, they must have been screen tested with quite a few people which is a stressful interview process! The producers must have been impressed with their chemistry so I’ll give them a chance with an open mind. I’ve got a lot of respect for Emma Willis since her midwife documentaries. She seems genuinely lovely.

Edited

Agree with absolutely everything said here ^

Also cannot stand Josh’s nasal voice. Sorry but the show is mainly watched by women and he’s just not that appealing tbh. Nor does he have much spark.

I would have much preferred Tom Allen who is really witty.

Emma will be competent!

At least Johannes has a bit of personality!

Whataflippincircus · 21/05/2026 01:45

Oh yes! Tom Allen would have been a great choice.

StormySam · 21/05/2026 06:03

Kind of sad that the legacy of being the only prime time show presented by two women is now over. They had a great opportunity to keep that going with Fleur East/Zoe/Mel/Emma or the dozens of other women who auditioned.

ilovebrie8 · 21/05/2026 13:30

Yep I think Zoe should have been in top spot. They've bungled it, in my view.

Yes I really like Fleur too!
