No. No. No. Emma does not really come across as a Saturday peak time host. Josh is moderately funny but not good enough (third wheel on the Last Leg. Jojo is a great dancer/choreographer but too uptight to be a presenter.

Zoe Ball would have been excellent, she’s done it as a celeb, she has done loads of presenting, she did ITT for years, she genuinely loves the whole Strictly thing, she comes across as very ‘safe’, I’ve got no idea why they didn’t choose her. Someone definitely missed a trick there.

I think Emma Willis does Radio 2 at the weekend? She’s never really crossed my radar so there’s nothing special about her in my opinion.

Rylan - he seems bored by things so no to presenting, but I’d love him to compete one year, if they have a female dancer the correct height for him.

Tom thingy - he would have been fab.

Josh Widdicombe - I’ve never seen him in anything so cant comment there.

So Emma and Josh get a 😵‍💫 from me.

Oh Alison upstairs would be good, she’s quite ‘motherly’ if that’s the right word? She’d be good if they were upset by a bad dance or something.

Not sure I believe this (Josh Widdicombe?!). Sounds like the sort of thing someone like him would say as a joke to see how much traction it gets in the press.

Josh Widdicombe is a really odd choice. I get they want someone funny, but an actual comedian is going a bit far. Hopefully he'll prove us wrong.

Emma Willis seems fine, I haven't seen her presenting anything but she comes across as competent and likeable.

Johannes as roving reporter - meh.

I really wanted Zoe so am disappointed about that - she seems like the obvious choice, and she loves the show.

Emma is a massive upgrade on Tess.

JW is fine, but doesn't seem well suited to strictly. Rylan would be better upstairs.

Johannes is a terrible choice and smacks of a DEI hire. He's a terrific dancer, let him do what he's good at...

Josh Widdicombe so ego es stands in on trading 2 on Saturdays comes across as warm and personable.

There’s so many names being bandied about so no one knows for sure.

Emma comes across as a nice human but FML her voice is irritating. Bit nasal, very strident. Josh has zero charisma and would not be a good choice and Johannes just simpers.

I don't like him either, DH watches Pointless and he is sometimes on that in the Richard Osman place and he annoys me

I love Josh and he really enjoyed being on the show. He’s very busy though and gets quite stressed so this would leave him with zero buffer. IYKYK

Zoe said on her podcast she didn’t get it.

I hated the whole “claudatorium” bit so would skip it anyway!

I’m not a fan either! I don’t really watch Strictly much but I'm interested in who gets the roles.

From what I've seen on the web and newspapers (so it must be true!) Emma Willis is confirmed. I like her,but I'm thinking she'd be best suited to the "Tess" role, but they need a big personality for the "upstairs chat". Personally, I think Rylan or Layton Williams would be the perfect pairing.
