Emma Willis

Josh widdicombe
Johannes Radebe

The two men would join Emma as a kind of 'hosting trio'

I think it doesnt need Josh Widdicombe sorry

I had been hoping that all of the Emma reports were wrong but it's looking increasingly likely that they're true. There's just something about her that bothers me, can't put my finger on it but it's very off putting. Almost like she's got a persona and she's trying too hard to push it and it's coming across as fake. Naturally every person on TV has a persona I just think the more successful people manage to come across naturally so that it doesn't flag up as fake.

Fortheloveofbugs · 16/05/2026 07:19

I don't know her, I didn't watch BB, but I'm excited to see it.
Love Johannes and Josh. I'm very pleased.

Emma Willis has an annoying voice.

I agree - I can’t listen to her on Radio 2 and have to turn off. Also feel the same about Ellie Taylor whenever she covers for Sara Cox

Summersunplease21 · 16/05/2026 07:30

Just when I thought I had my finger on the MN pulse… can’t stand Rylan but love Josh. I think strictly could do with a vibe change and some more humour.

HollyhockDays · 16/05/2026 07:59

Exactly. They need to make a clear difference between Tess and Claudia and the new version. They were never going to go for two women again. It needs to be new not just the same old. It’s time for a revamp.

Other reports say that Zoe is a definite.

Zoe has been telling everyone she didnt get the job, maybe she's having a joke and is going to do a big reveal

Wonderfulstuff · 16/05/2026 08:15

I was rooting for Zoe and Rylan so was disappointed when she said she didn't get it.

I wondered about Dermot O'Leary as he's got a track record of big Sat night TV but I guess him and Alison Hammond are in contract at ITV. Tom Allen would be good for the upstairs bit and has recently quit other jobs so that's a defo maybe. My other guess was Michael McIntyre. I also thought that Holly Willoughby might make a return from the wilderness for it but that would be a bold and probably too controversial decision.

But please no to Josh Widdecombe. I enjoy his stand up but he does not have the necessary presence for a show.

I stopped watching Strictly part way through last year as I couldn't really get behind any of the contestants. 2026 may be the year I finally quit.

Joe Marler would be perfect

Absolutely, he would be brilliant.

Yes, I like Josh, it needs a different vibe. Zoe Ball I find very annoying.

Beautifulday01 · 16/05/2026 09:02

Very unusual choices. Who would be doing which role? None of them are very slick as you would associate with Saturday night live tv nor would you put them together.

Beautifulday01 · 16/05/2026 09:03

I do think it’s time for a big change though so I hope it works.

OriginalPedant · 16/05/2026 09:06

I can’t bear Emma Willis and her weedy little voice.

I believe the death knell sounded for Strictly when Claudia and Tess announced their departure. It has had its time. It will stagger on for a year or 2 and then be dropped.

Unlikely. It's a flagship show, and incredibly popular.

Maybe it'll work, though? A change from Tess and Claud.

GenialHarrietGrouty · 16/05/2026 09:18

Josh Widdecombe would work well dealing with the equivalent of the Clauditorium, but I can't really see where Johannes would fit in.

I don’t like Emma Willis she is so incredibly dull.

Almost on parr with Tess.

desperatemum1234 · 16/05/2026 09:29

Emma and Zoe would have been great.

LakieLady · 16/05/2026 09:45

IberianLynx · 16/05/2026 04:22

Not sure I believe this (Josh Widdicombe?!). Sounds like the sort of thing someone like him would say as a joke to see how much traction it gets in the press.

That crossed my mind, too!

I really like Josh Widdicombe, but I'm far from convinced he's right for Strictly. That may be because I'm used to seeing him on The Last Leg, where he's rude and sweary.

I find Emma Willis a bit dull and vapid, and while I love Johannes Radebe, I think I'd rather see him dancing, or even judging, than presenting.

OriginalPedant · 16/05/2026 09:51

Even flagship shows have an expiry.

The Generation Game, Noel’s House Party, Top of the Pops etc.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 16/05/2026 09:55

I like Josh but I don't know if I buy this. Would it be possible for him to juggle both Strictly and TLL with them both presumably doing rehersals around the same time?

Also he lives in Devon now so not sure he'll want to spend a quarter of the years weekends away from home and family.

And lastly how would three presenters work? One on the floor in the Tess role. One in the Claudatorium and one doing what?

MrsShawnHatosy · 16/05/2026 10:01

Mistyglade · 15/05/2026 23:50

This is the first time I’ve read a showbiz story and thought oh that’s a good idea. The show is desperate for a change up. JW tested brilliantly by all accounts and we need his down-to-earth cheeky humour. EW is solid as main anchor like Tess. Thank god it wasn’t tired old hammy Zoe Ball or inauthentic Alex Jones.

Why do you think Alex Jones is inauthentic?

I don’t really know Emma Willis, but tbh I rather like the idea of the presenting trio.

wonderstuff · 16/05/2026 10:01

Josh is not as funny as Claude. I think La Croix would have been a better shout, he was hilarious when he was on.

Yes that makes more sense, I’m terrible at both spelling and remembering names!

To be fair, it's a tricky name!
