i think you care too much, bonio...

Joolyjoolyjoo · 22/06/2008 00:35

As far as the OP goes- I would have been sooo angry!! I hope you told your dd, very loudly, that it wasn't her fault, but rather the fault of the very nasty mean lady, who will no doubt get her comeuppance when she has to get down and scrub the floor. I too would complain.

I work in a small surgery and we often have kids who need the toilet, and we always let them go- why wouldn't we? Even though it is a tiny staff toilet and all our handbags and jackets are in there (as well as our X-ray developer!), and so is probably against every health and safety rule, who wants to see a kid distressed? An old man used it once and pooed on the floor, which was just gross, but heyho- better in there than in the waiting room!

Bit confused re Flashman and the x-chromosome- I thought you were a guy?

bonio · 22/06/2008 00:36

Flashman what about the crap that appears on the toilet roll still on its holder?

Crap on the towel?

Even had crap on the walls.

So Aitch you think my mum should put up with that in return for selling beans?( the point is she DOES)

MrsBonio · 22/06/2008 00:37

methinks my dd exaggerateth...

Aitch · 22/06/2008 00:40

and this happens OVER A THIRD OF THE TIME that people ask if their children can use the loo? three times a day, sometimes more?

rubbish. absolute rubbish.

CustomerOfMrsBonio · 22/06/2008 00:42

My greengrocer is slightly concerned for her DD.
She appears to be intrigued by toilet messers.

Flashman · 22/06/2008 00:42

Bit confused and the x-chromosome- I thought you were a guy? - A total tool is what I am, yes males - but seems I have denied this. Must be getting late!

bonio · 22/06/2008 00:42

Yes I do care a lot about my mum.Maybe too much. Is that possible?

She makes bugger all money and works really hard and is so good natured she lets people take advantage of her.
Since my dad died in Jan (aged 62 , heart attack)she has has faded to a shadow and has to run the show alone with whatever help me and my brother can offer.

Letting the world use her shop loo and crap on the towels (yes, just occasionally )is just the tip of the iceberg.

bonio · 22/06/2008 00:49

Ok let me ask my mum tomorrow when I see her EXACTLY how often people ask to use the loo and how often they make a mess.

She could do a little survey in her spare time.

except she does not have any.

if it is only 5 askers a day and one messer that makes it ok does it? For a frail lonely depressed old lady . She can mop up strangers shit as long as it is just now and then. Got plenty time on her hands since her husband died

Happy?

mananny · 22/06/2008 00:49

My twins are the same age as the troll's and we are in the midst of potty training. To avoid the whole "can we use your loo" scenario, I carry a teeny travel potty in my back pack and will quite happily pull it out and let the little munchkins pee whenever they need too. They are toddlers FFS, they cannot be expected to hold it and wait like older kids. I respect their privacy and other people's indignation by ensuring there are no little tushies on public view. But to deny a toddler the use of a loo is just plain mean, an adult can and should wait. But a toddler cannot.

Swearing at a toddler like that is just twattish. I know it was a troll (probably) but if that happened in real life that sales girl should be disciplined. Her verbal reaction to the event in question was waaaaay out of order.

"By bonio on Sun 22-Jun-08 00:34:09
Some days more, some days less.

You don't believe me.
Do I care? "

nice try, but don't make your outbursts about me. i was not referring to how much or otherwise you care about your mother, but my opinion. i'm sorry that your mum is having a tough time but as i've said a number of times i don't believe your assertion that she is asked ten times a day by mothers of young children, a third of whom then go on to soil her premises. that's all.

Aitch · 22/06/2008 00:51

bonio, i think you need to step away from this thread. you're acting a bit barking.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 22/06/2008 00:52

Even more confused now, flashman- are you male or not?! Guys have a Y-chromosome...

bonio · 22/06/2008 00:55

No outbursts here.

Flashman · 22/06/2008 00:56

oh no I can't remember myself now!! I thought that I had a picture on my profile - can't it be told from that - is it that bad???

For the record I have both a X&Y (I think it is late now - and I am all confused)

bonio · 22/06/2008 00:58

Aitch, I think that's called projection.

Flashman · 22/06/2008 01:00

bonio - why not just agree to take pics of the next offending loo and that will be enough to end this?

Aitch · 22/06/2008 01:01

oh fgs bonio... past your bedtime i think...

micci25 · 22/06/2008 01:01

a third of people make a mess in the toilets? then why doesnt this happen in pubs where all the customers are pissed and quite a few are total knobs?

i have been in bad pub loos before but none have had shit anywhere other than in a toilet no one had bothered to flush, let alone on any towels or floors!!!

bonio what sort of town do you live in where some one would want go and wipe thier backside on a towel in a small greengrocers?

also my dd frequently asks to use shop toilets (she has a slight obbsession with visting strange toilets) and no one has ever said no nor has she ever made a mess!

Aitch · 22/06/2008 01:02

no, flash, we'll need the pics of the offending toddlers also. three a day, minimum.

Joolyjoolyjoo · 22/06/2008 01:03

If you have an X and a Y you most probably are a male! (Look between your legs for confirmation- I haven't looked on your profile, but I'm assuming, nay hoping!, that it doesn't go into such biological detail!)

Flashman · 22/06/2008 01:06

It does not go into biological detail only because the zoom was not working!

Flashman · 22/06/2008 01:07

micci25 - I stand by my comments about students - they were / are animals!!

Aitch · 22/06/2008 01:09

i used to work in a student union... again, they weren't that bad. certainly not a third of all toilet visits ending in faecal carnage. or perhaps i just live in a more civilised area?

Flashman · 22/06/2008 01:11

Perhaps - these ones were in Luton - and there was puck to clean up - shite - everything. Animals!!!!!
