AIBU to compare pro-Palestine and Tommy Robinson-led protests? Both involve hatred antisemitism or racism and both end up in trouble. Two cheeks of the same ass as I've heard on here before!

Pro-Palestine and Tommy Robinson-led protests this Saturday with yet again thousands of officers having to spend the day controling these protests. Surely there is a better way. Static protest or once a month for Gaza? I think Tommy's lot isn't weekly like the Gaza lot.

Antisemitism is a major problem and general racism also up. Armoured vehicles are needed now with the first time in 15 years to use them. Terror incidents have risen yet what have either of these 'protests' achieved apart from further divisions!

Stick them in separate areas and tell them to stand with their various placards and keep them there. They ave their virtue signalling and hate fuelled moments but stop annoying the rest of us and keep the costs down - it's costing millions of pounds.

Met call up armoured cars as London braces for a day of protests

In a package of measures billed as the toughest ever, 4,000 officers will be deployed to deal with the Tommy Robinson-led Unite the Kingdom rally and a pro-Palestine gathering to mark Nakba Day.

If you are British, fortunately your country won't need to defend herself against terrorists ever day for centuries.

Start from the premise that all life is precious.

I know that, you know that but there some horrible people in the middle who don't. Their horrible antics then require defence action.

TomeTome · 17/05/2026 08:48

Really know it then. Value every Palestinian killed. Value every life ruined by being made to be part of senseless killing. This is the wrong response. Know it, understand it, and change. Work hard and relentlessly to get to a world where nobody has to experience war.

Yes, quite how anyone thinks 7th October was a positive for Gazans is beyond me.

Sinwar and the Hamas leadership thought they'd be able to get their allies to join in more after a headline attack on 7th October, they called that wrong, the outcome was predictable and the price has been paid not only by people who deserved it but also by ordinary civilians who had no control over any events. It's empowered the lunatic terror settlers in the West Bank, who now have the examples of peace activist, pro-Palestinian Israelis like Oded Lifshitz and Vivian Silver being deliberately targeted by Hamas to hold up.

It was an incredibly fucking stupid idea, and that was obvious to anyone with a remotely informed and dispassionate analysis of the situation.

Exactly. People keep saying 'it didn’t start on October 7th', but what exactly were Hamas' actions supposed to achieve?
Oct 7th had been planned for years, so it wasn’t some spontaneous outburst.
They didn’t provide any shelter for their own population, that shows how much they care about them.
So how can anyone suggest it was “resistance” and a fight back for the people of Gaza?

We are way past that. Men in charge equals inevitable wars.

It's a war. Which was started by Palestine.

Israel is by far the freer and more democratic country of the two. The bigger Israel gets and the smaller Palestine gets, the more free and democratic the world becomes. Yet liberals fall over themselves to support Palestine and Decry Israel. It makes no sense whatsoever. Hamas are laughing all the way to the bank at the western liberals that support them, wave Palestine flags and say things like "Globalize the intifada" and "Put the Zios in the ground" etc.

The best thing Palestine could do to end the conflict is to say "OK, we accept defeat, stop the fighting, let's talk, let's do business together". If they'd done that 70 years ago they'd be a modern, developed country by now, just like Israel is.

This has got to be the most ignorant comment I’ve ever read. Wow.

When I read comments like this, I truly feel that we have lost our humanity.

I think shouting to put zios in the ground was when humanity was lost. I hope that little fascist shit's future career is tarnished.

Instead of calling everyone ignorant can you explain how launching a large scale terror attack on a militarily superior neighbour is ever a good idea?

Dogs were also slaughterd on 7/10/23. I know rape denial takes place but dogs were definitely killed.

Their plan was carefully orchestrated. From its launch to its after effects. The PP is proof that the plan is working. 3 year old hate marches are further proof.

Learn about the decades long brutal occupation and you might start to understand it.

do any of you even know the significance of the March that was held yesterday?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 17/05/2026 09:50

They’re on par. If the government listened to the public’s concerns around mass immigration, increase in crime, lack of housing due to mass immigration then people wouldn’t feel that they had to join these groups.
I don’t agree with the setup but understand the frustration, instead people are divided between left and right as their concerns are being ignore or labelled as a racist.

Yes, its significance wasn't lost. Although 3 years on and with no changes, the Nakba would have been more prominent had its memory been respected in isolation. I do find you incapable of seeing nuance in this conflict and a conflict it is.

Do you just believe all these things completely and unquestionably?
Including that each and every doctor and journalist was killed simply for being a doctor or a journalist, and the dog rape nonsense?

Starmer, Lammy and Khan doubled down on their being out of touch with the electorate. Hope not hate is not being seen in the Palestinian marches. Throat cutting actions, calling for all Jews to be annihilated, Tommy robinson to be shot in the neck like kirk, putting zios in the ground yet its the British patriots who pose the threat! The more they double down the more patriots will fly their flags.

“3 years on”…. the oppression of the Palestinians has been going on for decades.

This is bigger than the underclass. Branding it as a toothless underclass is denying there is a problem with immigration.
The workers are silenced by fear of losing their job.
Different country, similar issues.
The doctor that I attend for Botox shares these views but obviously discreetly as she’s been followed off the tram, no longer runs alone at night, joined a running group for safety, the city centre is covered in tents, gangs of men hanging around often fighting each other.
Ignorance is bliss assuming that concerned citizens are uneducated toothless foolish people

The 3 years is reference to the duration of the Palestinian marches. Multiple arrests, maximum cost to the tax payer, hate language/inciting violence, all overshadowed the commemoration of Nakba.

I’m aware of what the march was about.
Do you honestly believe though, that the entire history of the Israel-Palestine conflict is completely black-and-white?
That Israel has always been the sole aggressor?
That before the Nakba happened, the newly established state of Israel wasn’t immediately attacked by several of its neighbours?
That there were no ongoing terror attacks and rocket fire against Israel by the Palestinian side?
