As a proud Northerner i can say 80 per cent of my peer group will vote for Reform in May. Do you think it will be a North v South split?

B I t c o I n had the same effect, it seems.

Nellodee · 02/05/2026 09:39

I’m presuming this is because it’s indicative of posts by bots - which just goes to emphasise the point that people with an in b I t c o I n have a tendency to be involved in nefarious actions online. And Reform are up to their eyeballs in it.

hedgeknight · 02/05/2026 09:39

Lucky for Farage then that we can't link to those dodgy dealings

Nellodee · 02/05/2026 09:40

Sorry, that came out garbled, but I think the point remained visible. People who are big into b I t c o I n are rarely people with the interests of larger society in mind.

Nellodee · 02/05/2026 09:41

Totally agree, hedge knight.

My son's life was literally saved by the NHS. He received care that would have cost thousands of pounds for which he paid nothing.

When I had a cancer scare, I was seen by the NHS within two weeks and again had immediate treatment that would have cost me a fortune elsewhere.

When I had shingles in the eye, I was referred by the NHS to an NHS eye hospital and seen and treated that day. Again, expensive care, no charge.

I'm not seeing the joke there, to be honest.

Not free. Taxpayers pay heavily for this bloated inefficient organisation. We would all be better financially off if it was run properly. Outcomes in many important areas are well below the European average and many European models are in many ways as inefficient and expensive as ours. No one wants a US approach and Reform have endlessly explained that is not their goal ( ok you don’t believe a word they say🤷🏻‍♀️) but something has to change and the main parties have shown they cannot or will not fix RNHS. It simply doesn’t work. People wait endlessly in pain for treatment and many are forced into the private sector taking out loans or reducing their lifestyles considerably.

So the same as now?

No improved as explained.

Is this a serious question? Polarisation is the enemy of a cohesive society that is capable of effective debate and compromise.

I hardly think most posters here are demonstrating a capacity for effective debate and compromise. The main approach is to call anyone who disagrees with them a racist lying stupid thug who wants to destroy the NHS and ruin children’s lives. There is little appetite for civilised debate.

Tell us what policies you like and how they will improve the UK?

🤣 Yeah that’s going to happen. We both know how you will respond and we both know that you’re response will be insults and slurs and possibly bad language.

There you go, it's a simple question that you don't want to answer.

I have not posted any insults.

5128gap · 26/04/2026 19:03

Next time someone tells you, would you ask then why? And if they can reply in more than a sentence and they talk about any of the multitude of issues that matter in governing a country aside from immigration, would you mind posting a summary? Because everyone knows everyone is voting Reform, is of less interest than why. I feel there must be something 'everyone' may be aware of that I'm not.

This is baiting don’t respond.

I've not read all the pages, but has the following theory developed: Metropolitan 'elites' (ie graduates living in cities) voting Green or Labour, inhabitants of run down old industrial towns voting Reform, rest of the country, a mix of everything?

It all comes down to one question: Who gives you hope?

Or who’ll do you the least amount of harm.

BeAmberZebra · 02/05/2026 10:01

Your “explanation” came three days after my post. 😂

if you refuse to explain the policies because you’ll be challenged that speaks volumes.

Do you think the so called insults are only coming from one direction?

Why would you not want to discuss policies and how they will improve the UK if you are so keen on Reform?

5128gap · 02/05/2026 10:36

BeAmberZebra · 02/05/2026 10:25

This is baiting don’t respond.

You're a bit late to the party mate. She already has responded, and it was helpful.
Any reason why my curiosity about what attracts voters to Reform feels so threatening to you that you feel the need to police other posters responding to me? I'd have thought you'd be pleased to see the message spread. If it's a good one you could win people over.

Precisely. If these people have such conviction that they’re right surely it would be logical to try and persuade the rest of us.

LakieLady · 25/04/2026 20:40

I'm in the south, too, and I haven't seen any evidence of the country being out of control in any way.

Don’t you watch the news or read a newspaper? Shoplifting, knife crime, rapes, sexual assaults, murders, antisemitism, vandalism, low level anti social behaviour, illegal migration, open borders, prosecutions of veterans, soaring cost of living exacerbated by political decisions, giving away strategic territory and politicians lying to our face on a daily basis.

I agree with the pp it’s pointless on mn for any non Labour on these threads and I don’t blame her for avoiding it.

I’ve been on this planet for nearly 73 years. None of those things are new. And our borders aren’t open.

Me too and it’s a lot worse now and our borders are clearly open.
