To ask whether you foresee your summer travel plans proceeding?

With the current situation in the Middle East not improving and jet fuel set to run out in 6 weeks, what do you think are the chances of your summer holidays proceeding?

I’ve got flights booked with easyJet in September. Assume if they’re cancelled we will get a refund? Hadn’t organised insurance yet! 😬

Get insurance ASAP.

We had refunds for both and would expect a full refund if this ends up being "3rd time unlucky" for us.

Although reading some of the comments on this thread has me worried? If our tour operator has to cancel then surely we'll get a full refund? I think I need to find the T&C of our trip.

I booked all our shorthaul budget flights for this year before the end of last year. I think our long weekend in Italy for the early May bank holiday will be fine. Our last family holiday in July will be affected I think. I just checked that our 2 holiday rentals needs to be cancelled in June so hopefully, it will be clearer by then. I haven't prebooked any activities like I would normally have done since I want to mitigate any losses. Similarly, we have flights to Athens in the autumn for my birthday - I'm not booking a hotel until I'm sure the fuel crisis is manageable. Back up plan is to visit family around the UK instead.

Was planning on a 6 week trip to the UK from a Gulf State but am now of the mind it more than likely won’t happen so I’ll do it later in the year instead. I have a severely disabled son to get back to and if I say I’ll be away for x amount of sleeps I have to make sure I’m back when I should be.

It’s an important trip too. I’m basically going to be taking a good look at just how my dad and step mum are managing.
