To suspect police are worried about vigilantes - Epsom attack

I live relatively close to Epsom and so this appalling assault is all over my news feeds and social media.

The police have asked for witnesses but no descriptions have been given. Cue lots of very disturbing posts and comments from people who very clearly think these men are not white.

I can think of half a dozen scenarios where this is not being disclosed but, based on the comments, I think it all comes down to fears that local communities will take it on themselves to "apprehend" anyone who even vaguely looks like the perpetrators? And while the comments I am seeing are mostly white people being disgusting in their assumptions about brown and black people, i can imagine police would he equally concerned if, for example, the woman was Asian or Black and her attackers were white.

Is this where we are at? Where people make horrible racist assumptions and/or where police have to worry about how they will protect the broader community if they give any details of criminals?

When serious attacks happen especially those which a certain demographic of men are more likely to commit and the police refuse to give a description then people just presume that its that demographic and unfortunately the presumptions often turn out to be correct which reinforces the assumption that they are protecting that group over the local population.

The real problem is we are allowing men from cultures that treat women worse than chattle to come on mass to the UK move them into unsuitable accommodation and they hang around schools harassing girls, hang around nightclubs waiting on drunk women and its not just lone men its gangs of them. And tge response to the behaviour of the men is to do nothing, and in Scotland school girls are being given rape alarms because of these men and their disgusting behaviour.

People are angry and if the government doesn't start removing these men from the UK asap there will be violent riots and vigilante attacks very soon

Yeah, it does seem odd that they don’t have a description by now, with the victim statement, all the ring doorbells and the cctv.

Update is that Epsoms Chief Superintendent will meet tonight with the residents and reveal what they should have revealed days ago.
So perhaps the public will learn exactly why the Po-po have been so tightlipped

I personally don't give a shit what colour these vile attackers are. It has no bearing on my disgust and rage at their crime, or my sorrow for the poor woman who now has to live with it.

But what I don't understand is what the police are playing at. If they currently have no identified suspects then say that. If they have descriptions or efits from the victim or witnesses then why not provide them? Surely that would help bring these filth to justice sooner.

They are creating the vacuum.

And I won't blame the police, but the judiciary are responsible for the rise of vigilantes. The severe lack of consequences and adaquate punishment is making the country feel lawless.

I think the hardline policing of the Southport riots made things feel worse. Not because rioters were harshly punished (as they should be) but because thieves, rapists, thugs and monsters seem to get a pass to keep reoffending. They showed that they can mete out punishments, but choose not to in the majority of cases.

Riots are never the answer as it usually involves destroying amenities within such as the bozos who set fire to a library last summer.
All females regardless of age shouldn't be harassed or accosted by any man regardless of colour unfortunately we are light years away from that happening .

The rapist is always a man, that's true. Why though is it when the likelihood or the actuality is that the male rapist is a migrant, asylum seeker or a refugee, that people who feel aggrieved at the crimes of such people organise and get lots of fellow protesters out, but when the rapist is White or born in the UK, there's never a protest?
Obviously there are a lot of people such as the women who.protesred against the killer of Sarah everard happy to come out and protest. Must fewrr who did the same for Zara Aleena? Racist women?

Because when the problem is migrant rapists there’s something specific, and on the face of it fairly straightforward, which we can do about that specific problem, but for whatever reason we aren’t doing.

Why would anyone think these 'protestors' give a flying f about women's safety? They'll all be on the bus home if the perpetrators turn out to be white. Sickens me.

White men rape, sure, but not really in packs . I think that is what has given rise to the rumours. There was another post-nightclub gang rape in Brighton and one in Bournemouth too.

Maybe some of them live there and have wives and daughters? I’d not want my daughter going out in Epsom at the moment if there’s a rape gang knocking around, call me precious.

I thought the police had been told after a previous incident they should release descriptions of suspects quicker and not hide stuff?

But it’s not clear why that is? In which case it should be no surprise that it provokes unrest.

I don't see anyone defending the perpetrators. I see people objecting to racists using this horrific attack to progress their agenda. I also see people criticising the police. Who here has been victim blaming?

It’s called a clash of rights. You are seeing it more and more. Racism trumps misogyny and girls and womens rights to safety, it also trumps disability rights (see the BAFTAs debacle), but Trans and LBTQ+ rights trumps racism.

Whether or not these men come from an asylum/illegal immigration background is immaterial to the protest. The vile rapists may well be white, or West Indian - we don’t know. But people are filling in the blanks and assuming things because these types of attacks on children and young women are on the rise, and behaviours are having to be changed by the people who live here legitimately to offset the behaviours of those that are not westernised, have primitive views about women and children, and who feel powerless because society seems to be turning a blind eye to the effects of mass immigration, and their needs being put above British people (from all backgrounds). And a sense that law and order has broken down, and the taxpayer is paying for all of the associated costs to boot.

Any debate until recently about this has been badged as racist, and this is the result. More crime and then more demonstrations by a combination of right wing opportunists and the worried ordinary person who sees dangers and a massive change to everyday life. People see that we have no effective way of managing the large swathes of young men from cultures in direct opposition to ours and nobody in power seems to care. Add in the well meaning but deluded do-gooders who have slapped down the debate. That is why Reform will get in. They are manipulating the failure of successive governments to act on this. Women and children are already changing behaviours to try to not become victims. The whole world has issues with white males who have bought into the manosphere incel culture. This is now added to by the rights of illegal men from backward cultures allowed to roam free in our cities and towns, irrevocably changing the way we live. It is not just their views on women, it is illegal shops on the High Street, fraud, etc. It is too late to change this despite Reform saying they can.

That’s why people are demonstrating. Leaving aside the flag waving zealots, it is people who are frightened for their children and the country they are living in which has changed so much in such a short time. They demo because until the General Election they have no other voice.

Only if it’s a white person or someone with a British identity.
