I watched a bit of their series last night and felt really quite envious afterwards and am not usually like that.
They are both extremely wealthy, raised with money, young, good looking, healthy, big families, the best of everything in life.

They seem lovely, some people really do get it all though don’t they!

I could never feel anything but sorry for anyone trapped in that vacuous world of fashionable media that will suck them in and spit them out again, then goad the Great General Public to shit all over them, in due course.

You really believe that these two from highly privileged backgrounds have been sucked in and trapped?!?

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 10/04/2026 10:44

I'm not sure why there are so many comments on his looks, does every famous bloke have to be typically handsome? I find him attractive but then I love a posh boy who makes me laugh😂

Yes, not by money but by that yearning for "likes" 🤷🏼‍♀️
Even rich people are insecure!

CatamaranViper · 10/04/2026 10:58

I went to uni with Jamie and he was a divvy then. Nearly tanked our group project by constantly missing rehearsals. Claimed his house was broken into several times and they always seemed to nick his laptop or phone which meant he couldn't do the work.
Asides from that, he really looked down on northerners. We had a full on argument when he told me that we were basically peasants looked after by southerners.

I presume he has changed since then as most people do, but he left a very bitter taste in my mouth

Are they insecure though? Or are they actually the opposite with massive superior egos - grandiose, entitled, arrogant and delusional?

Firesidechatter · 10/04/2026 11:45

god this thread is just people making negative assumptions about them, which looks like pure envy,

Maybe! They're still trapped in a vacuous world though, whether by insecurity or delusion. I wouldn't swap places with anyone like that if you paid me.

Commenting on someones appearance is shitty.

Only treating people you consider your close friends decently is shitty.

Thinking you can "honestly assess" the sexuality of a person who you dont know is shitty.

The implication of your honest assessment of someone's sexuality as a negative is shitty.

This is a chat website - the assessment is mine - and I’ve shared it - that’s what you do on chat threads - back and forth and have a debate/chat - that’s what makes it interesting

I commented on his appearance to say I don’t agree with OP who commented on his appearance

I really don’t know where you are coming from

seriously?
which one of the Brontë sisters are you?

What a weird response

What would be the point of a Lavender marriage? It's not the 50's where men have to hide. There were gay men on Made in Chelsea and gay presenters on Radio 1. It would hardly of held him back in his career.

Its personal to your own situation - not always about looking outward but inward and where you are at - acceptance inward

Shocking isn’t it. Because Jamie doesn’t 100% conform to what they view as masculine they’ve all decided he’s gay, when there is zero evidence he likes anyone but women. It’s pretty sad really to see a thread like this and realise homophobia and stereotypes are alive and kicking still.

Oh don’t be silly

we are going on our instinct intuition - this is someone who is posting daily about his very hetero life and offspring - of course we can have an opinion - nothing to do with homophobia

nobody said anything about him not being masculine - that’s your view

btw - lots of “masculine” (whatever that is in your head) are gay

Pipsquiggle · 10/04/2026 13:27

I think it's because they haven't had to work as hard as other 'normal' people because of their inherent generational wealth from their families that they have not contributed to, which in turn has opened up other opportunities like MIC.

Most of us simply do not get the same start in life as these people which means they seem to achieve everything with so much ease.

Take Candy Kittens, there are other very good small confectionery companies who have probably better product. They will probably never be as big as Candy Kittens because they don't have a 'Jamie' for promo.

Sophie always looks so well put together - hair, skin, clothes, shoes, accessories - she's probably never had to weigh up whether she can afford to buy a new coat for the winter or will the old one last one more year. Or if she buys the new coat then she can't afford the boots........

It pissed me off when Jamie posted on SM how Sophie had curated this perfect Christmas dinner just a few weeks after giving birth - he didn't show if they had a nanny or cleaner or housekeeper that helped as well.

I am sure there are hardships in their lives but more emotional than financial. The rest of us have both.

instinct intuition on someone you don’t actually know, and claiming it’s not because he doesn’t conform to your expected masculine expectations? Bull. It’s pretty disappointing to read this thread.

Lavender marriage and neither are good looking lol

Why do people imagine that putting "lol" after a bitchy comment turns it into a harmless joke?

It doesn't. It just makes you look like you're laughing at your own bitchy comment.

It’s not “instinct”or “intuition”. It’s because he presents slightly camp and your inner homophobia instantly kicked in.

They’re wealthy but not good looking! He looks like Ellen Degeneres.

I don’t think we can say Sophie isn’t good looking can we?

CaptBirdsEar · 10/04/2026 16:39

Good luck to them - they seem to be in love and are new parents which is always special.

Man child was the phrase I was after.

Soontobesingles · 08/05/2026 20:41

I was at uni with Jamie in Leeds: he was thick as mince, but always a nice, genuine guy. Am surprised at what he’s made of himself, but I guess success isn’t all about academics!

I watched it and quite liked it. I listen to their podcast and it's actually quite funny and they seem to have a normal relationship money aside.
That being said, yes they are wealthy but money doesn't bring happiness.

🙄 Ofc it does. It takes all the stress away of paying bills.
