AIBU to find 'feel free to still go' rude and condescending?

Not sure if I’m just being over sensitive but my friend & I had arranged to go for a day out with our kids tomorrow. I messaged her to confirm the time we would meet and she replied back saying she had double booked but to ‘feel free to still go without her’

Am I the only one who finds it really rude and quite condescending when people say that?!?

Like I don’t need her permission to take my kids on a day out that I’ve already booked and paid for just because she’s bailed.

AIBU? Not the first time she’s done this so maybe I’m just being sensitive.

I wouldn’t mind it too much usually, but what I find annoying about this phrase is the fact that they bail last-minute and know that you’ve already paid and blocked your calendar.

It’s ok to go alone obviously, but sometimes you book/plan things with friends, because you’re wanting to hang out with them. Activity/restaurant is just the sidenote.

I see it often with group dinners etc., I get that you don’t want to mess up everyone’s plans, but come on Susan, it took us 3 weeks to find a date!!

If I make arrangements I keep them. You need permission to take you children out from someone who is rude? And add a response of 'how gracious of you to give permission for me to take my family out and go f... yourself, thank you for the apology, oh there wasn't one'.

I'm another who's wondering why she chose to cancel you and not the other offer..
And ...when was she going to let you know ?

This is what would annoy me. And I wouldn't make plans with her again.
