How much I hate Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.
I mean (controversial) I always have. But now I hate it even more.
There I said it.
Am I being unreasonable?

Could be worse, sometimes you see seven or eight or more identical posts in succession. 😅 I think they don't always show immediately, so the poster thinks they haven't gone through successfully, so keeps trying, then whoosh! the whole load appears, almost all at once. 😅

I hate ballads but love this, sorry 😐.

I was listening to Fade Into You by Mazzy Star , which is another fav of mine from the time (and also features in millions of soundtracks) and my old mum screamed at me to turn this shit off 😳 rude .

So I won't have that as my funeral song 😖. .

SurvivalInstinctsOfABakedPotato · 22/03/2026 14:08

Love it. But then I still look and act like it's the 90s 😂

ClafoutisSurprise · 22/03/2026 14:26

I had never heard of this, but when I played it I recognised it. I listen to 90s music regularly, I was a teenager then and yet until this thread this song had obviously made no impression whatsoever on my conscious mind. An anti-earworm.

It's boring but somehow just lively enough so that not even its boringness registers.

I have a DD named Iris and I hate when people think it’s because we loved the song so much we named her that, which has happened more often than I’d have expected. The song did not factor into that decision at all.
