The right potato for the cooking method, roasts in lard, cream and horseradish in mash, oiled and salted kings for jackets, beed dripping chips, bubble and squeak, farls... wonderful!

I absolutely love potatoes.

I like to get the skin of a baked potato and fill it with butter and cheese and squash it all and eat it hot and drippy. (This is in addition to the butter and cheese that was originally part of the baked potato and I have no regrets and no shame.)

I have, as they say, found my people. I love a good potato. Especially a fab floury one, as mash with lots of butter, olive oil and a hint of garlic. Or mashed with celeriac.
Roasties, chips, boiled new potatoes, hassleback, dauphinoise, anna, fondant (ohhhhh fondant potatoes)
I am married to a potato loving chef. It is bliss and i am the size of a house.

ETA: forgot a childhood favourite, a potato scallop from the fish shop. In a bread cake with a liberal sprinkling of salt and Hendos

I bloody love potatoes. Whenever I watch MasterChef or Great British Menu and they serve a main without potatoes I feel they've cheated.

Just saw this as my potatoes are cooking. My husband is out for the evening , and although it is still 28 degrees, I am having a big BIG bowl of mash with garlic butter, then a big divot in the top of the mound , filled with butter to melt.. and a healthy (large) ladle of my homemade gravy that is currently defrosting ..may need micro to speed it up. YUM.

Boiled potatoes, sliced, shallow fried and then drizzled with olive oil, topped with cheese. 😋

Mmmm had my first bag of Charlottes this week, with melted butter or even without they are fabulous

Also I when I make jackets I put some small ones in the oven too, to be eaten cold the next day, almost better than a hot buttery one

I’ve seen a recipe that has squashed potatoes which are fried and have some sort of sauce poured over them. It is the stuff of my dreams.

I would love to eat all the potatoes with Garron Noone.

Mash must be made with a red skinned variety I believe .
