Please include photos/rightmove links so I can judge your tastes!

Me - I am watching Owning Manhattan, planning my life after winning £100,000,000 (I dream modestly) - and would live in a NY skyscraper!

Down the road in a bigger house…I wouldn’t go far all my family are here.

RedRec · 05/03/2026 12:18

A big house near where I currently live (West Yorkshire), one in Norfolk, a flat in Bloomsbury and a house in Fuerteventura.

crumpet · 05/03/2026 12:50

Keep my house, as I like it. Then a ski chalet plus homes for the dc. Very possibly a flat in Covent Garden.

Diddlysqat · 05/03/2026 13:08

I'd buy a 2 bed lock up and leave overlooking roundhay park in North Leeds , use as my main home and money permitting a bolt hole in Belsize park/ Hampstead London

InOverMyHead84 · 05/03/2026 13:10

Same house, done up to the nines.

I wouldn't tell people we had won, but there would be signs.

2026me · 05/03/2026 13:20

I can’t start looking for listings or I’ll get nothing done for the rest of the day 😂 but…

A lovely old house in the Scottish highlands with enough land for a couple of horses. (I’m planning on this regardless of lottery win in 3 years time)

Then a second home somewhere warm and reasonably quick to get to, one of the Spanish islands maybe..with a swimming pool and lovely grounds.

I don’t think I’d use the second home much but husband would insist, I’d be happy to retire to my highlands home with some animals for the rest of my days.

Marmalademorning · 05/03/2026 13:28

Depending on the size of the win, I would look to move my family out of UK given the direction it’s going. No idea where though and unfortunately it’s not a dilemma I will face because I don’t have the money, or means to do so.

Good luck trying to get parked anywhere near Roundhay, especially on a weekend or bank holiday.

On the other hand... Free concert noises.

ImDoneOnceAndForAll2 · 05/03/2026 16:16

I would book the 4 year cruise
Then once i finish that i would do it again...
Fly family out to different ports the boat was at so i could spend some time with them
Bliss

NotQuiteUsual · 05/03/2026 16:25

Something like this. Beautiful, big, old and with lots of space for my horses. Location wise, it’s fine, and I don’t dislike winkleigh, but I’d want it to be, basically, where I am now. I love our local village/area.

Parking not a problem flat I've got my eye on has garages and off road parking ,spent a lot of time in roundhay working /friends works well for me as an area will be moving there in a couple of years lotto win or no

FruAashild · 05/03/2026 18:28

Aasuming amassive win I'd buy a bigger detached house in the town I live in, and a flat in the Barbican for trips to London and possibly a flat in Edinburgh as well. Anywhere else I'd just use very nice airbnbs.

Silverbirchleaf · 05/03/2026 19:22

Always fancied moving to Beaulieu and this is near the river.

PGmicstand · 05/03/2026 19:32

I quite like where I live but my dream house is a Georgian 'cottage' - something with enough bedrooms for friends to stay, and have their own lounge, bathroom, etc.
Maybe in the Cotswolds, but it'd need to be in easy access of doctors, hospitals, shops, as I don't drive and that would be a consideration as I get older.

Many many years ago I had a boyfriend whose parents lived on Dock Lane. It wasn't that house, but very similar. It was a fantastic place to visit.

Natsku · 07/03/2026 08:41

Depending on how much I won, I'd maybe buy a plot of land and get my own house built exactly how I'd like it (my town is selling plots large enough to build houses on) as one of my favourite bedtime daydreams is designing my perfect house after winning the lottery.

I'd also like to get a flat in the city, one that DD and her friend could live in while going to school there but I can use whenever I want to stay in the city. Quite like the look of this one https://www.etuovi.com/kohde/70082552?haku=M2419916188 the building also has a space you can book to have parties and gatherings in, and at the entrance there's a bit where you can wash your bikes, dog's muddy paws, muddy/snowy boots, pram wheels etc. so you don't bring dirt into your own flat.
