Please include photos/rightmove links so I can judge your tastes!

Me - I am watching Owning Manhattan, planning my life after winning £100,000,000 (I dream modestly) - and would live in a NY skyscraper!

Something like this: https://111w57.com/

Please do share/judge my excellent taste 😌

Same county that I live in now, just a bigger house and more rural. Then a villa in Europe. Definitely nowhere near the US.

Nofeckingway · 04/03/2026 16:01

Definitely a penthouse in a NYC skyscraper or a quaint West Village townhouse . But you would need to win more than 20 million . Then a new build for me in my own location designed by me on my own plot . Would spend the rest of the time traveling and staying in the best hotels and not bother buying anything else for myself .

Morepositivemum · 04/03/2026 16:01

Next door to my mum. And I’d move in without telling her 😉

IAxolotlQuestions · 04/03/2026 16:01

I'd rotate between China, Germany, the UK and then spend the rest of the time travelling.

FFSToEverythingSince2020 · 04/03/2026 16:05

I came to Scotland for a reason and I don’t want to be anywhere else. I would absolutely love having this - bedroom for me and DH, a shared office, and the other bedrooms would be for older foster kids. It’s my dream to foster older kids, if I had the space.

I would stay where I am. We've only just moved in and I couldn't face moving again, but I would do everything I'd like to the house including converting the attic, getting someone to landscape all three gardens (They're currently pretty much all gravel with the occasional hideous plant,) strip out the hideous bathroom, replace the kitchen, get the pebble dash replaced with lime render, replace the garden fence, put an office/studio in the garden along with a proper bike shed and retire so that I could enjoy spending time in my lovely little house.

Meadowfinch · 04/03/2026 16:09

I'd buy an estate in Wiltshire, and I'd buy an apartment in Kefalonia.

And then I'd stop work and spend my time inviting my friends & family for free holidays 😊

Sahara123 · 04/03/2026 16:10

I’d have 4-6 properties around the world and spend a few months at a time in each . Starting with Devon and London 👍

Cerialkiller · 04/03/2026 16:15

This one. Though would probably need to spend another million or so getting it to where I want.

Tbh. I do really like our neighbourhood so for a lesser win would quite like to buy out the other side of our semi and knock through, double the garden etc.

4 bedroom detached house for sale in Swn Y Dail, Barmouth, LL42 This would do me!

Lordofmyflies · 04/03/2026 16:19

I’d keep our home in Cornwall but buy a London pad and maybe a small villa with a pool somewhere lovely in Italy.

littlesalmon · 04/03/2026 16:21

for the sea views from the terrace and perfectly proportioned rooms. I know it's not a lottery-winning price for some but it's way above our budget. Still, I keep the Rightmove tab open and dream.

Retrogamer · 04/03/2026 16:23

Probably Harrogate, or somewhere around there. Regular sized house is fine, but detached and a big garden. Perhaps a holiday home in Italy also.

Hotafternoon · 04/03/2026 16:26

Where I live now, very near the sea, but as I live alone it's difficult unfortunately to buy a small house with decent land around it. All the lovely properties are too big with 4, 5 or 6+ bedrooms with at least a couple of acres.

I'd have to keep inviting friends to stay if I bought something with that many bedrooms.

Centre of Amsterdam. It needs some colourful painting and some art on the walls to bring it to life but I can manage that. Perfect location of right by Vondle Park in my favourite city in the world would be perfect thanks

Oh! Or the home alone house in Chicago. The actual real one. Though I'm not hugely a fan of Chicago so maybe that would just be a holiday house. And I'd get it redecorated to be like the film. And run tours / sleepovers.

I'd stay where I am but it would be lovely to be able to be up and gone whenever I wanted.

keepwakingup · 04/03/2026 16:51

Can’t find the dream but something like this, I would have to stay local to family & friends.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/87546831#/?channel=RESBUY

maybe a flat in town & definitely a beach house
