It’s all so strange, she was just a very sweet girl, she seems completely different. I remember her being on Loose women and The Jonathan Ross show years ago, when she seemed unwell but obviously not like now. She appeared like a robot, it was really unsettling, I couldn’t work out what was wrong at all, like she’d been programmed to say the things she did and move the way she did. Something happened along the way, something strange

I think this is the real Britney. She's been very carefully managed most of her life, and this is essentially the first time she's been her own manager.
I think people forget that she's always been calamity prone. Her image was polished perfection until her split from JT (I think that split was monumental for her, she was beyond heartbroken). After that, she stumbled from one disaster to another, each worse than the last. She always had people mopping up after her disasters though, the only difference now is that she has no one doing that. She's not the same proposition she once was, she's every inch the has been, thus there's very little to be gained from being in her team now.

Yes, the police did a welfare check at the time. It's not that kind of help she needs - obviously she answers the door (with security probably) and says she's fine.

And who would deem that she lacked capacity, and how and where would the assessments occur?

I'm not trying to be snarky, it’s just very difficult to remove someone’s autonomy and to get them assessed for capacity if they don’t want to be.

It looks like meth to me, on a background of well-documented life-long drug abuse and mental illness - but, sadly, no one can force her to rehab if she doesn’t want to go.

This is 100% drugs. The movements, the gurning, the disheveled appearance, the messy unkempt extensions. She had a manager, he’s called Cade, and he is just a user. A true friend would not allow this to see the light of day! He is pally with the Kardashian’s and they are pally with Lou Taylor, who was one of the people to get her into a conservatorship in the first place. Look up Britneys missing millions!

Britney is unwell, clearly, and does the really common self medicating with alcohol/substances but she also has to have some accountability like all addicts do. Her boys have been through alot and the fact someone on this thread asked what they are doing to help their mother, just wow.

I remember years and years ago, must have been earlyish noughties seeing her perform Toxic on GMTV, and her being similarly robot-like, miming, and just vacant - I was so surprised as she’d been so sweet and healthy and vivacious. Like you say, something strange happened along the way.

Long term drug abuse will cause cognitive damage. She allegedly had more than one overdose, resulting in anoxic brain injury. Psychiatric medications can also be dulling.

Despite the carefully curated public image, her drug issues go back a long time.

My partner is adamant she has Dissociative identity disorder caused by years of abuse from a very young age

Nobody will really be able to do anything about it unless she overdoses and ends up in hospital or commits a crime (back in the day Lindsay Lohan was sent to 90 day rehab for a DUI).

She reads of mental illness and associated medication to me. Someone in my family has bipolar and they were frequently unmedicated in the past and took a long time to find the type and dose which helped them best and she was similar in her facial expressions and things like the lack of care over her hair and manic chatting at times. Britney’s Instagram captions are all over the place.

I also know someone with schizophrenia who has a similar style of movement when her medication starts to wear off and I’d imagine it’s pretty heavy duty stuff she’s taking for such a serious condition. Has an issue with recreational drugs ever been addressed? I remember KF making allegations but can’t remember what was said exactly.

I think it was after her marriage broke up, which must be nearly 20 years ago. I remember at the time there were at lot of raised eyebrows at her choosing K-Fed as a husband but it was always glaringly obvious to most people that she was both rebelling against her wholesome, virginal image and desperate for a family of her own to love her unconditionally.

I think she was made to portray that appearance almost against her will. I remember it being discussed at length in the media about her virginity and "saving herself" for marriage. All that invasion of privacy on a teenage girl is horrendous. Thank God that wouldn't be accepted now.

I remember she had a relationship with Justin Timberlake and I think she said in her book that she had an abortion and he wasn't very supportive, all whilst still having to portray the above facade.

It was easier for her team to conceal, and easier for her to keep it relatively together, when she was younger. The earliest public sign that it was getting out of hand was when she randomly got married, and quickly divorced, in Vegas.

And I always thought Mum was silly — until I watched good people do nothing and say they couldn’t do anything. Like stand and watch houses burn instead of fetching water, for example.

No, no I don’t believe they have.

I’ve done what I can do. The rest is up to how seriously I suppose the LAPD takes my report.
You can always submit your own report with them, if you want.

At least I did something. I take a bit of comfort in that, however small it might be.
