To be the most shocked about the women possibly involved in it all

With Epstein.

Men, i’m pretty much sick of at this point in my late 40’s, adore my Ddad and Dh is one of the good ones, but thinking back to being young and leering men and uncomfortable and scary situations.
But, rumours of women possibly being involved-obviously vile GM, but a supposed supermodel, JE’s personal assistants and women that seemed to work for him, reports of possibly owning adoption agencies etc. If all true, how on earth could women see children and young girls being abused and hurt and actively make that happen?? Where were all the safe people, why did no one notice and say or do anything?

There are many female abusers and murderers. Off the top of my head: Rose West, Hindley, Letby, Beverly Allit, Tracy Connelly, 2 recent nursery nurse cases:One suffocated a child in her care and another took indecent images.

Plus none of the above did it for money as far as I know.

Michael Tracey is a bit of a weirdo himself...he has said some sensible things, but he seems oddly keen to play down Trump's Russian links and even the Bucha massacre.

He makes some good points, but I think he tries too hard to be a contrarian.

Letby is now being seriously questioned. The others, OK.

GM was essentially playing the role of brothel ‘madam’, supplying girls to wealthy, powerful men. It isn’t actually all that unusual, though it’s uncomfortable to think of a woman exploiting vulnerable girls.

Although it definitely doesn’t sit easy with me that the only person in prison for Epstein’s crimes is a woman. And with her history as Robert Maxwell’s daughter, GM would have been vulnerable to Epstein herself. (No excuse for her actions, obviously.)

Yes, brothels madams have too often been romanticised (Madame Claude, Cynthia Payne, who were both exploitative to the women they worked for, or the Dolly Parton film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) when they're essentially female pimps. That's what they should be called

You say off the top of your head, but they spin a 50 year decade and I can’t think of any others. It’s a tiny list when you compare it to males.

But women do regularly protect abusers and allow girls to be abused. As well as being sexually abused at home, I was also abused by a priest who was ‘chaplain’ at the convent school I went to. Believe me, quite a few of the nuns there knew exactly what was going on, and covered it up. (Not all of them, there were some lovely women who I can’t imagine knew anything about it, they would definitely have spoken out.)

I’m afraid GM’s role has never surprised me, though it nevertheless obviously disgusts me. It happens, sadly.

A woman has been jailed in Ireland yesterday for 18 months for not protecting her daughter from sexual abuse by her husband, the girl’s father.
They were child cruelty charges for wilfully neglecting to protect her daughter
The abuse happened over a 13 year period. 🥲
It started when she was 3. At 16 she left home.
Utterly heartbreaking
The father is in prison for 18 years.

I dated a man for a while whose sister had been abused by her father. He was adamant he wasnt abused but i wasnt sure however we didnt date very long. What i found more awful was they lived in this tiny home and i couldnt see how the mother hadnt been aware of what was going on. I believe she did but for whatever reason turned a blind eye.

A significant number of mothers turn a blink eye knowing their children are being abused. They'll put a man before their children.

It’s horrendous and so shocking, who is looking after the kids?!
