Fed up hearing the breaking news....Andrew has left royal lodge.
So what, hes moving from one mansion to another. With lakeys waiting to clean the place and people to shop and cook for him. Etc etc.

As if hes going to ever live like us plebs.

And his victims will never get justice

You are just writing things without any verification or sources.
Victoria DIDNT get money from the taxpayers - her Royal income ( to fund the royal machine, staff, upkeep of Royal residences, travel etc) like every monarch after her comes from the profits of the crown estates.
William and Catherine do NOT get taxpayers money. The only taxpayers funds that are spent on them are for security- do you begrudge them that?
Victoria didn’t pay for Sandringham - so how you think this is a ‘paperwork con’ is beyond me.
And as far as William and Catherine ‘not doing very much’ you obviously don’t understand what goes on behind the scenes and don’t think about the fact that they can never retire. They will be doing the job until the day they die - we have seen with QEII the damage that was done to her children by her being a distant parent. William is determined to ensure that does not happen to his children.

“Doing the job until the day they die” 🙄 What the job of skiing holidays and attending Wimbledon? What a strain that must be 🙄

He’s moving from a 30 room ( 10 bedrooms and loads of bathrooms) prestigious house on Windsor estate with 5 members of full time staff running round after him, tidying his teddy bears to a small 7/8 room farm house ( 4 beds and 2 baths if lucky) on Sandringham estate where no one will care about him and he is sharing staff with the king, so a cook and cleaner will pop in. He is now having to have his brother sub him, and Charles won’t put up with the spending he did before

so it’s a big big fall from grace

Not exactly a back to back in Bradford though is it?

simpsonthecat · 05/02/2026 07:46

It sounds like Mrs Acorn from down the road will pop in and have a quick dust around for a couple of hours a week! And she will pop some frozen dinners in the freezer for him!

He is demanding cook, housekeeper, gardener etc
Now whether that's staff who work on the Sandringham estate anyway, that's quite likely, but they have, according to articles this morning, been given the option not to work for him and that list is long.

Front page of the Sun - mentions his "staff" won't do as they're told, seems to be the implication...

But then, it's the Sun, so I'm surprised they haven't accused him of being pissed and killing some fellow football supporters.

PC an honourable man? He took the action he did against Andrew as he knew what was coming and hopes no one will dig too deep into his own past. In 1995,, the 'honourable man' wrote a letter supporting Peter Bell who had received a police caution for child sexual offences in 1993. PC was then 44 years old. PC bought a house which Bell then rented. Bell subsequently served time in prison for CSA against young boys.
Spare a thought for Neil Todd who committed suicide as a result of being abused by Bell.
PC was very close to Uncle Dickie, Mountbatten. His sordid history of abuse is slowly but surely being exposed.
Honourable, my backside.

I'm glad you have said this. Let's not forget either one of Charles' close friends Laurens van Der Post who raped a 14 year old.

Thanks. Since when has The Sun had the inside track on - well, anything?

All over. Just google?

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor staff at Sandringham brought up the first 7 media articles.

Is that what you mean by what's the source? Or are you thinking something different.

Metro, LBC, Express, Yahoo are others.

So not reliable, serious news sources like the BBC, Times, Telegraph or even the notoriously anti monarchist Guardian? Thought not.

Sahara123 · 05/02/2026 09:37

Who would actually want to work for him I wonder ? Not me for sure.!

THisbackwithavengeance · 05/02/2026 09:41

I had never been able to get worked up by Andrew shagging Giuffre. I didn’t trust her one inch with her money grabbing and expensive American lawyers.

I think it’s fairly obvious that rich and powerful men will indulge in sexual exploits with paid women/models most of whom are there for financial benefit. I even couldn’t get worked up by the fact that Giuffre was 17.

So in the past I always put AMW into this category and classed him as a seedy, exploitative sleazebag but not a pervert or a paedophile. It always made me laugh when mumsnetters were frothing at the mouth and calling AMW a “nonce” for having sex with a 17 year old when they themselves were probably shagging much younger.

BUT having read stuff on social media about alleged extreme, violent, illegal and disgusting practices that went on then I think we need to change the order of the world. But if that happens then we need to prepare for economic and social collapse because they will take us all down with them.

As someone said, the only person doing time is a woman 🤷‍♂️

And that’s exactly what it is - imagination. People have been working for him at Royal Lodge, haven’t they?

ACynicalDad · 05/02/2026 09:51

I despise him but he will be a target and does need security and can't be on a row of terraces in Luton. He's got no humility, this was probably hard enough to negotiate, it's a vast improvement, poor Norfolk but it's a significantly less bad solution than him staying at Royal Lodge.

They are being made redundant now. No one obviously wants to carry on working for him.

I doubt people are tripping over themselves to serve him.

More like they don’t want to live in the middle of nowhere in Norfolk. I doubt there will be much trouble finding staff locally - especially if they’re paid more than the going rate.

Why do they need to negotiate? It doesn't matter that he has no humility - if he wants protection, he needs to get what he is given. What he has been given is unnecessarily generous, when you set it against the victims. The RF will always close ranks against us - at heart they despise us, and no wonder when they receive so much pathetic toadying.

Aren't the royals notorious for being low paying employers?

They probably think the joy of bowing and scraping to them is payment enough for us plebs.

Are they? They could pay the Windsor/London going rate and people who know the Norfolk going rate would be queuing up.

Yup - and also for ducking out of equalities legislation. Here is our late 'beloved' queen in action:
Buckingham Palace banned ethnic minorities from office roles, papers reveal | Monarchy | The Guardian
This is not just historical - the monarch is exempt from the Equality Act and Freedom of Information Act - it really is one rule for them....

This is my take as well. I was struck by the thought that this is probably the first time in his life that he has properly lived alone.

I dont feel sorry for him but in his demanding to have live in staff I wonder if the fear of being alone was behind it.

Seriously @blossomtoes ?

Only a year ago Charles was in the news for advertising a housekeeper job at SUB minimum wage - never mind minimum wage .

All while hoarding billions .

You know why? Because those people live in, their living expenses including food are all covered. Their salary is essentially pocket money.
