Is this benefitting her or women in general? I’m really unimpressed

nb: this post is about Emily atack and her latest extremely sexual photos in the press

Why why why!!!!! She’s already successful, lots of money, seemingly intelligent and has a child and partner. Why why why do women keep wanting to come across as sex dolls? I really don’t understand especially as she has spoken about her experience of sexual assault before. Do so many women feel like the most important thing to them in life is still being classed as a ‘wanted, needed by men, sexual being’ above everything else? This can’t be for money purposes.

Is this benefitting her or women in general? I’m really unimpressed

Agree. However, Gen Z also take the “none of your business” approach. Difficult to engage with them in any type of discussion without being cancelled 😞

I’ve had lots of discussions with Gen Zers and personally never been ‘cancelled’!

I'm gen Z and I'm very capable of having discussions without cancelling anyone.

Please show me where I have abused people on this thread? All I have done is called out misogyny, victim blaming and slut shaming.

Disagreeing with you isn’t abuse. On the other hand, Starting a thread about a named (and pictured) individual with the sole purpose of creating a pile on about her choices and blame her for any sexual abuse she receives most definitely is.

As I said think on. You have your opinions about things but you are constantly trying to intimidate people who don't agree with you and trying to get them to stop posting. There are a couple of others as well. You think one way - well others think differently 🤷‍♀️

If you find having your misogynistic views challenged ‘intimidating’ then maybe you should have a think about why that is.

Sartre · 04/02/2026 10:21

I think she’s built a career on her looks so this sort of thing is usual for her. I don’t know anything about her life or intellect really, only know she was the ‘fit’ girl in The Inbetweeners- largely because she was blonde and had big breasts so to many teenage boys, that’s a dream combo. She then sort of didn’t do anything for many years before suddenly reappearing, did she do reality TV or something?

Either way, she’s always built her career on showing her breasts off.

ohnonon386 · 04/02/2026 10:44

The pictures are just awful IMO, the lighting is not sexy at all. Her standing on the tractor is just bizarre. There's one with her wearing a riding helmet perched on her head and white lingerie - also very bizarre and unsexy. I get the Rivals link but it really doesn't work.

There is absolutely nothing alluring or enticing about these ads that i can see. I think it's very clear that she is more used to doing tv than modelling.

I didn't say I felt intimidated. Read. I said the posts are worded in a way to be intimidating and to shut people down. Mn admin seemed to agree too.

So you think she meant to be intimidating but you weren’t intimidated? But you still reported it, despite not actually feeling intimidated?

Did I say I reported anything? Did I say I reported anything as " intimidating" ? You're making a lot of assumptions here.

My post was not intimidating. I'll hold my hands up and admit I shouldn't have used the language I did in that post but I 100% stand by the fact that I was calling out misogyny, victim blaming and slut shaming. All of which make my blood boil.
Perhaps I should have expressed that more respectfully but it doesn't stop the OP from being misogynistic which I'll call out every single time.

If your posts are misogynistic or blame women for the the sexual harassment they experience then you should be stopped from posting or at the very least, called out for it.
If you were a racist posting racist comments you'd be stopped. Why should misogynists get a free ride?

I bet they just disagreed with you too

Explain how calling your misogyny and victim shaming is intimidating?

How is MN, a site for women, allowing such victim blaming to continue?

It’s disgraceful. There have been a number of posts this thread that have been very explicit in their blaming EA for being sexually harassed and abused.

Yet the only deleted post is mine for telling someone to fuck off for posting misogynist and victim blaming comments and for slut shaming women. Go figure.

I haven't noticed anyone victim blaming.
The antagonistic posts are takin 6 and 6 and making 6006.
I would have time for your arguments if there was any real logic to them, or any respect for people who think differently from yourself.

If you haven't noticed any victim blaming then I think you need to read the thread again. There's been plenty.

Why should anyone have respect for people who's viewpoint is misogynistic?

Will leave you all to your fantasy world which you seem to prefer to the harsh realities of life. Denial gets you nowhere but angry whereas acknowledging the dangers arms yourself in how to avoid much of this.

When I was 12 I was sexually assaulted by the drunk dad of the kids I was babysitting for. As it was a late night I was sleeping over. He came home early after a row with his wife.

Can you expand on ways I could have avoided this situation occurring? perhaps have been dressed differently so as to not send mixed messages?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 04/02/2026 12:51

Haven’t fully caught up with the thread yet but FFS I could scream at many of the attitudes on this thread …

THERE IS A WORLD OF FUCKING DIFFERENCE IN CHOOSING TO EXPRESS YOURSELF SEXUALLY AND TO BE UNAPOLOGETIC ABOUT IT AND FOR A MAN TO SEND YOU UNINVITED SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MESSAGES, PICTURES OR ANY OTUER ATTENTION.

If you believe otherwise then you are letting men off the hook for their actions and are part of the problem.

Our poor daughters are screwed with such nonsense still alive and kicking

You don't think it's victim blaming to tell someone they are asking for sexual harassment because of how they dress?

There have been multiple instances of victim blaming/misogyny/ slut shaming Here are a few examples:

Why why why do women keep wanting to come across as sex dolls? I really don’t understand especially as she has spoken about her experience of sexual assault before.

This is what I was alluding to when I mentioned earlier how it’s strange she’s choosing to court sexual attention after making a point of disliking this kind of attention previously

Because she must know the reaction it will have? I’m not condoning this, just pointing out the reality

Will leave you all to your fantasy world which you seem to prefer to the harsh realities of life. Denial gets you nowhere but angry whereas acknowledging the dangers arms yourself in how to avoid much of this.

Come on women, move past the obsession of sex, regardless of it it’s for yourself, other women or men

She has always been like this - posts certain thing publicly then complains about it . Yes I agree women can get vulgar comments despite how they are dressed but it seems to be a pattern for her. Waaah they're commenting on my tits.

I didn't say she deserves it but if she were not doing it then there would certainly be a lower chance of it. She's made her choice.

I don't have respect for misogynists. Why should I? There is a huge difference between an opinion on the aesthetics of the photo shoot and slut shaming EA for doing it in the first place. The former deserves respect. The latter doesn't.

There is no misogyny here.
Many people quite reasonably feel that such pictures cheapen women.
secondly, that this is kowtowing to the patriarchy by adopting patriarchal behaviour and calling it ‘freedom’, when in reality it’s subservience.

Thirdly, there are many ways to make a living. Some are dignified, some are not. Reducing oneself to a sexual object with the intention of titillation is, in many people’s view, not a dignified way to make money.

None of these opinions are connected in any way with misogyny, quite the reverse.

Name calling does no favours to your pov.

How is being paid to advertise underwear for an underwear company not a dignified way to make money?
Is David Gandy undignified for his modelling roles?
Are the cast of Bridgerton undignified for filming sex scenes?

YOU think it is undignified which is your prerogative I suppose, but bashing a woman for taking an opportunity is ridiculous.

What you have just posted is known as slut shaming. Which is a form of misogyny.
Blaming women for being responsible in some way for their sexual assault and harassment is also considered misogynistic.

So yes, there have been multiple misogynistic comments on this thread, yours included.
