LOL, if my DC and DH read this post, they would have 100% sworn it was me who typed it/posted it! 😆
100% agree. Sick of random men thinking we women owe them our attention, and smiles, and giggles, and 'pleasantries!' And yes, they do get annoyed and angry when we ignore them. They think they're so charming and funny and attractive, and we should be soooo flattered by their tedious 'attention.'
I have had many a time when I've been on a walk around my village, and some random man (nearly always between 50 and 70,) starts talking to me. Always about fuck-all, always boring, and often about himself. I have had a few who ask me personal questions. One bloke (about 7 years older than me - maybe mid 60s) stopped me to 'chat' some months back, when I was on a walk, and around 20 minutes walk from my home.
He asked me my name, and if I live in the village (why would I be walking around the outskirts it if I didn't?) Then he asked me where I live, (actually which road,) then he asked me where I work, then he asked me if I go to the village pub very often, then he asked me if I go to any of the 5 or 6 hobby groups in the village. Why the fuck is a strange man asking a woman such personal and intrusive questions? Fucking weirdo.
After the first few questions, I told him I do go to a couple of hobby groups in the market town 4 miles away - with my HUSBAND. He was like 🙁then walked off.
I did engage with him as I was alone, two thirds of a mile from home, and walking along a fairly remote country lane near woodlands. So I felt I had no choice but to engage. But his attention felt intrusive, and intimidating, and it made me quite angry that he put me in the position of feeling vulnerable and intimidated.
Everything I told him, every question he asked, I gave a false answer. Did he seriously expect me to tell him my name, the road I live in, and where I work, and all manner of personal information that would identify me? Fucking weirdo!
