If you’re a man getting disgruntled because a woman won’t talk to you then you are the problem.
Two things that I find really unsettling here: the way in which men’s sense of entitlement is increasing and the invasion of privacy through those meta glasses; now combine them both and you get a really dangerous situation.
I know every single woman has experienced a man trying to talk them and then the man becoming disgruntled or aggressive when they ignore them or politely won’t engage. It is scary.
Do you know when this happened to me most recently? Sat on a bus with my five year old daughter. Afterwards, I had to explain to her that I didn’t have to talk to him and you never have to talk to someone who makes you feel uncomfortable or scared. It shouldn’t be us women doing the work. It should be the men changing their attitudes and behaviour.
