I know anyone can join and that's fair enough, I'm not actually trying to impose my wish on anyone or the site but it still always annoys me when I am reading thought a thread where a woman is posting for advice from other women and a man pops up saying "speaking as a man" or "from a blokes perspective" I always want to say I'm not interested in what you think right now, there is a whole world of "men's opinions" shoved down our throats from the time we are little girls and all though our lives on every aspect of our bodies, what we do and think. I'd love just one space like this with lots of women without it having men interject and that is before we even get to the men who pitch up looking for permission to have affairs or get their jollies from dubious posts.

I suppose there’s absolutely nothing stopping anyone from starting their own forum and only allowing women to join. But where’s the fun in that when we can just moan about men on here instead?

Sall Grover did exactly that - she set up Giggle exclusively as a space for women to chat - one of her primary aims was (if I recall correctly) was as a way to find other women to lodge/travel with (apologies my memory is fudgy) but beyond that as a space for women to make friends and as a way for Lesbians to find each other. Before it even really got officially going A LOT of men tried to join. they were told "No". A bloke called Roxy Tickle tried to join. Got cross when he was told no and thus "Tickle vs Giggle" became a legal case in Australia.
Quoting from Wiki "In August 2024, the court found that Tickle had been indirectly discriminated against under Australia's Sex Discrimination Act, and ordered Giggle to pay costs of the case and damages"

Both Tickle and Grover appealed, still no news on when those appeals will be held.

So I would argue that sadly, actually there is a lot to stop women setting up a women only forum. Men. Men dont want us to have spaces just for us.

There is always a predictable line on threads like this “I really enjoy women only spaces” “Women aren’t perfect, you know, I’ve met some horrible women!” Well yes-so have I. And I’ve met some lovely men. That doesn't mean I don’t generally prefer the company of women as a class to the company of men as a class. And that the dynamic of a group of women is changed by the presence of a man, even the nicest of men. I presume men feel the same about the presence of a woman in an all men group.

Or even that the majority of males are unpleasant? There are no doubt some on here for the sport of trolling or whatever, and some idiots with out any self-awareness but generally I have neutral or positive impression of most of the ones I am aware of.

It would be really nice to have a sex board that as women we could actually post questions or advice on, that didn't have a raft of men sat with their cocks in their hands waiting to wank, commenting non stop.
