Traitors, who do you root for?

RetainersinSpainnotontheplane · 18/01/2026 21:43

I root for the faithfuls even if I do prefer the personality of some of the traitors.

One of my kids roots for the traitors and thinks it’s deeply weird I don’t.

So just to see if I’m actually weird…

YABU = Traitors all the way
YANBU = Go Faithfuls

I root for the fast forward button.

Hawkinsresident · 18/01/2026 21:45

Roxy is a first class idiot!!! She makes me irrationally angry at this game.

I miss Fiona and Harriet
Stephen is winning this one.

exercisedout · 18/01/2026 21:45

I always root for the faithfuls, it’s like catching a criminal tupe thing. This series I am a fan of James, he wears his heart on his sleeve, he seems like a genuinely good bloke, I was also rooting for Jessie who I thought was so brave to go on a show requiring constant debate, with a stammer. And that’s about it!
On the celebs one I wanted Nick and Joe to win.

PotteryChuck · 18/01/2026 21:48

I root for whoever I think is playing the best game, whether that's Traitor or Faithful.

Rachel is playing a blinder of a game, rooting for her!

TheChosenTwo · 18/01/2026 21:48

Not sure really, and I agree that this year Roxy is making me irate.
Don’t think I ever go into it thinking I want a particular side to win but this year the faithfuls that are left are so bloody stupid none of them deserve to win. I can’t warm to Rachel at all but she deserves the money!

EsmeSusanOgg · 18/01/2026 21:51

Honestly - it really depends on the season, who is playing and how well.

In the recent celeb season I was really rooting for Joe Marler and hoping Nick Mohamed was going to stick to the plan. When that went awry, I was ok for Alan Carr to win.

In the current season, I really like Rachel and Stephen (traitors). But I also really like some of the Faithfully and have been gutted at some murders/ banishments.

It's a fun game. And I sway between how well it is being played over who I want to win.

wheresthesnowgone · 18/01/2026 21:51

Traitors are and have been playing a much better game than the faithfuls and deserve to win ...... thus far .....

CrispySquid · 18/01/2026 21:52

Depends on the series! I’ve watched all the international series too (Aus, USA, NZ etc.) Sometimes I root for the traitors, sometimes I root for the faithfuls! Depends on collectively what characters/personalities I like more on balance each series. Sometimes you get a bunch of faithfuls you can’t warm to, whereas sometimes the traitors are really obnoxious. It’s much harder to win as a faithful though as they have the harder path from the start.

shivermetimbers77 · 18/01/2026 21:53

We are big Stephen fans in this house!

Casparina · 18/01/2026 21:53

Depends! I rooted for Harriet this time as I know her. The remaining Faithfuls don’t deserve to win.

PersephonePistol · 18/01/2026 21:53

It depends on who I like.

I like both remaining traitors this year, so I hope they make it through, particularly Rachel.

In Rachel, it’s good to see someone who has gone in prepared, who actually has a strategy, and thinks carefully about the game. She’s also prepared to a calculated risk from time to time.

Faithfuls like Roxy drive me insane. Wrong about everything, looking at the wrong things, attaching massive importance to things without thinking carefully about whether they show what she thinks they show (like James taking the shield secretly, which showed nothing more than he was an idiot - a traitor would have no incentive to take a shield and keep it secret).

Myfridgeiscool · 18/01/2026 21:56

I’m rooting for Rachel and Stephen in this series. They’re doing well together.

nuffinkdoing · 18/01/2026 21:56

Always root for Faithfuls but none of the ones left are likeable! I’m gutted Jessie went.

arethereanyleftatall · 18/01/2026 21:58

Depends on the game.

I vote for who’s played best, and on this one, it’s the traitors.

unless….is Roxy actually playing a blinder? Could it be that she has worked out that it’s Steven and Rachel, and so is deliberately playing beyond stupid. Shouting down anyone who says anything negative about them. Convincing them she hasn’t got a clue about anything. Etc

i do love this show…but, on this one, we’ve ended up with the last 6 faithfuls in it, all (unless Roxy is playing a blinder) who are all bland and clueless. It’s too easy for the traitors to murder the decent players. I think the producers need to think fast on their feet on this one because none of the faithfuls deserve to win.

Georgiepud · 18/01/2026 21:58

That's why I rather like James, he is a bit of an idiot but is honest where he's at! Roxy is awful imo, Rachel is very shrewd. I think either Stephen or Matthew will win.

BookAndPiano · 18/01/2026 22:00

I did like Jessie and rooted for her until all the exaggerated mouth openings and falling on the floor etc! It really did irritate me.

Traitors to win!

RetainersinSpainnotontheplane · 18/01/2026 22:04

Interesting that it’s mostly personality based for folks. Maybe we’re a bit black and white in this house.

DS can’t warm to Rachel but is still willing them to win.

I’m not a fan of Roxy. When she bollocked Harriet for talking over someone but she interrupts people all the time it tipped me over into disliking her. I’m gutted Harriet went. I do have a big old soft spot for Stephen.

The celebrity one felt like lower stakes because it all went to charity anyway at the end of the day. Joe Marlers little face rather broke my heart though.

Mumteedum · 18/01/2026 22:04

I tend to root for the Traitors because they seem to have to work a lot harder! Rachel deserves to win, though I do love it when you get a clever faithful and I think Jessie was really good and a nice person.

Mumteedum · 18/01/2026 22:05

Roxy is a sanctimonious twit.

AllIdoistidyup · 18/01/2026 22:06

Depends. I really wanted Minah to win series 3 - I would say Traitors in general but only if they are really good at it.

SumTingWongwithme · 18/01/2026 22:09

Harriet seemed to lose the plot at the end and saw Rachel’s behaviour as personal, I am glad she went she came over as rude and angry that the game was being played well!

TheSpottedZebra · 18/01/2026 22:09

It's the first series I've watched, it's pure shite, and yes, I'm watching every one!

I want Rachel to win all the money. She's well-prepared, doesn't hide her brains and doesn't seem to whinge. Previously I wanted Fiona to win as everyone underestimated her/bought into her silly doe-eyed older lady act. But then she went batshit crazy, so...

Is anyone secretly playing an intelligent game, or their plan is being edited out? Hard to tell.

malificent7 · 18/01/2026 22:17

I normally root for traitors. No exception in this series.

FuzzyWolf · 18/01/2026 22:19

I usually root for the Faithfuls but not with who is left this series.

DanceMumTaxi · 18/01/2026 22:24

Usually the faithfuls, but this year it’s the traitors. The faithfuls are just too stupid, I don’t really like the traitors but they deserve to win based on the faithful’s stupidity and the lack of ability to see the blindingly bloody obvious. They’ve banished all of my favourite faithfuls too. Sorry, but the faithfuls have been so awful that they don’t deserve to win.
