The people of Gaza might have a half decent chance of a life with Hamas broke and broken.

Trump is a prick and a bully, and I hope he acts like both those things and cuts the head off the snake.

I don't give a shit about US/Israeli manipulation. MY children will be safer with these bastards destroyed.

SpaceRaccoon · 13/01/2026 08:48

In this case I think intervention is warranted, and ridding the world of current Iranian leadership would be a great thing.

LeedsLoiner · 13/01/2026 08:55

Yes of course the US should get involved, look how well that's worked in the Middle East over the years, in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Libya - remember the "Arab Spring", what could possibly go wrong...

Twiglets1 · 13/01/2026 09:01

@RedTagAlan I’ve been trying to find more details on the 25% tariff announcement.

According to CN Business they will be in addition to existing tariffs. If they are right, the new tariff could mean a minimum 45% tariff rate on goods from China for example, versus the current rate of 20%.

CNN Business report that China’s foreign ministry today decried the move, pointing out that there are no winners in a tariff war.

Do you think Iranians can overthrow the regime without help?

Alexandra2001 · 13/01/2026 09:08

Throwing a few missiles into Iran will not get rid of the current regime.

That would require a sustained attack and a blockade but even then, with no get out for the regime, they will just stay and fight, they have no choice, no one will have them & atm the Iranian Army have said they promise to to stay loyal...

Look at Syria? the place was utterly destroyed before Assad fled.

RavenclawWitchy · 13/01/2026 09:27

This is why Trump thinks he's untouchable. People seem to think the US are the world's Police Force.

HappyFace2025 · 13/01/2026 09:35

Yes

Cool. It just goes to show how little Trump thinks. Anyone else would make it clear.

Why is the USA the one who may go in ? Why can't Egypt, Pakistan ,Saudi etc ? Ie some countries from the actual region ? Do they care what's happening don't they want to help ??

They don't tend to get involved. They also don't get criticised for not helping much either 🤔

However, when the West do get involved they are critised (often by Westerners) and when they don't get involved they are also criticised.

Alternativelyviewed · 13/01/2026 12:05

Well exaclty I guess they are also sitting on shaky ground with oppressive regimes

However I wonder what citizens of those countries think when they see the people or Iran with signs for help from USA ?? don't they think why not our leaders ?

Yep my take too.. we will just make the present death toll a thousand times worse..

HappyFace2025 · 13/01/2026 13:04

@LeedsLoiner @Alexandra2001 just as well you weren't around in 1939 then. Sometimes it just is our circus and our monkeys.

That’s one way of looking at it. Presumably you take the same line on Gaza.

Palestine and Lebanon are fucked up because of Iranian intervention, they also helped assad murder 600’000 syrians, they fund milita in Iraq. They ayatollahs are there because of the the west. The least we can do is rectify this horrible stupid mistake.

Iran fundamentally destabikises the middle east. It’s part of the reason some pro pals don’t want interference in Iran, funding for Hezbollah and Hamas dried up.

LeedsLoiner · 13/01/2026 12:19

It is when they fund groups like the houthis that fire into shipping lanes or try to carry out assassinations on UK soil, or destabilise places that leave us with a wave of refugees

cupfinalchaos · 13/01/2026 15:14

Those bastards have had a good run. Time for them to go and let the rich culture that once was to shine through.

@Userxyd he took out their nuclear stuff so I think they know he is serious look at Venezuela.

He said behind the scene they are desperate and negotiating. At the end of the day isn't this their business ?
The people in France and other revolutions had to do it themselves.

Apparnkty.aa usual many countries in the region would love Iran. To fall but they do nothing.usa can't win.

They were criticism for not helping the kurds when Sadam gassed them then when they did go in they were criistdedmn

"They were criticism for not helping the kurds when Sadam gassed them"

The US were actively helping Iraq gas the Kurds and Iranians in the Iran Iraq war.

The U.S. knew Hussein was launching some of the worst chemical attacks in history -- and still gave him a hand.

No. God forbid. The US should stay the fuck out of it, or we'll end up in WW3.

Isn't the Muslim Brotherhood an offshoot of Hamas? I didn't mention Iraq.

Edited

The Muslim Brotherhood is a Sunni Muslim group, founded in Egypt in 1928.

They will 100% already be in Iran in some type of way aiding & encouraging the protestors. As others have said dropping bombs will do the regimes work for them.

Userxyd · 13/01/2026 23:31

I just think he will have encouraged protestors by saying they’ll go in if the regime threatens them, so he’s already been stirring - if those kids now don’t have internet access will they just keep pouring onto the streets to be slaughtered? All of which strengthens the grip of the regime so he’s already intervened and now has to follow up somehow.

Ihatetomatoes · 13/01/2026 23:34

Alexandra2001 · 13/01/2026 12:31

Yep my take too.. we will just make the present death toll a thousand times worse..

Apparently its 12,000 slaughtered in days. The regime are just slaughtering their own people on the streets.
