Baby on bus eating pizza!

Netcurtainnelly · 11/01/2026 21:38

Would you leave your baby in pushchair eating pizza?

Baby was definitely not walking yet and eating a piece of pizza on their own, lay back abit not even upright in the pushchair!😱

AIBU to think the base of a pizza isn't suitable for a baby, let alone eating without someone really watching over them.😕

What on a single decaer bus.😁

I've never heard of that kind of bus. Sounds posh. No wonder it was pizza and not a doner kebab.

I remember seeing a photo of one of the Beckham babies (just over a year) sucking Diet Coke through a straw. I guess they thought Diet Coke was the healthier option.

I did BLW with both my dc. Maybe that's what the mother is doing with hers? Maybe she was caught out too late and needed a snack for her dc? I've been in situations like that. Maybe the pizza was homemade?
Or, maybe she was completely ignorant about basic nutrition? Is that what you were thinking, OP? 💁‍♀️

Of course OP is. She's being snobby. She has no idea about their day to day life. She was just hoping people would jump on this thread agreeing how awful it is that this child is checks notes being fed. We can't all afford caviar

No that simply isn't true. Blood glucose levels are slow to rise and may still be high the next day ( depends on if type 1 or 2 and what regime they are on) if there's alot of fat in the pizza because of cheese etc.

You said it wasn’t true then said the same thing I did.

MyNiftySheep · 12/01/2026 00:50

This thread really makes me to eat pizza horizontal on the bus seat all day long.

Upstairs snorting coke

coke or Coke?

CremeCarmel · 12/01/2026 01:00

I have never in my life seen a baby on a bus eating pizza. Perhaps it is a sign of how rough an area is. Round here the babies drink Chardonnay and eat canapés.

Letting babies drink chardy is irresponsible.

I never filled my baby's bottle with anything stronger than Babycham.

Imagine being a baby sitting on a bus living your best life while eating pizza and you get judged for it.

I can’t believe these comments, I’m quite shocked with how many people who think this is ok.

Pizza is expensive now - especially with the cost of living and babies do nothing to contribute to household bills or food but expect to lie around eating it all day.

At least a few sensible people have commented and mentioned the Greg’s sausage roll which is good enough for an unemployed family member who expects waiting on hand and foot and won’t result in washing tomato sauce covered clothes afterwards.

Sometimes I choose the healthy vegan sausage roll out of concern for babies health, it might have added sugar and an equal amount of fat and calories but it sounds healthier.

I fill their bottle full of medised so I can have some peace and quiet whilst baby naps. It’s medicine so good for them and the rest of the bus loves me for it.

I had to stop giving mine caviar. Every time I served it they demanded Dom Perignon to wash it down.

maras2 · 12/01/2026 02:51

As long as the olives were pitted (choking hazard) sounds ok for BLW.

DreamTheMoors · 12/01/2026 04:01

Shocking!!
Needs a Corona.
That’s child neglect when the kid has no Corona cerveza to go with it.

*Corona beer - is very popular throughout the western United States.

Bikergran · 12/01/2026 04:10

Blarn · 11/01/2026 21:56

Ridiculous.

You want Fanta.

Nope, for hard core tantrums, you need Red Bull, and I kid you not, my daughter actually saw someone pouring Red Bull into a feeding bottle and giving it to their toddler. We wondered if it was so that the child would be particularly dreadful when left with MIL, or if they were priming it up to win races at nursery.....

LBFseBrom · 12/01/2026 04:19

Did the baby have a phone handy? I'd be more concerned about that. There was a post the other day about a baby in a restaurant eating a burger with a phone on their tray (I don't think it was going to eat the phone but the poster was obviously concerned).

LydiaFunnyGums · 12/01/2026 06:33

Not everyone can afford to spoon feed their babies avocado on a bus.

I wouldn't leave my baby on a bus eating pizza without a can of coke to wash it down with. Clearly that parent is neglectful.

I really wish the react button had the laughing emoji 🤣🤣🤣

youarebeingsoextrarightnow · 12/01/2026 08:04

are we talking baby 3 months, 6 months, 12 months? they do need to eat

Aaaawww, medised. Do they still make that? Mother's helper in a measuring spoon.

Bottle please! Can might have a sharp edge.

As for the pizza - OP, did they cut the olives in half? If so should be fine.

CrispEmblem · 12/01/2026 09:50

Kind of sounds comical. Like the human version of hamster on a piano eating popcorn
