Baby on bus eating pizza!

Netcurtainnelly · 11/01/2026 21:38

Would you leave your baby in pushchair eating pizza?

Baby was definitely not walking yet and eating a piece of pizza on their own, lay back abit not even upright in the pushchair!😱

AIBU to think the base of a pizza isn't suitable for a baby, let alone eating without someone really watching over them.😕

Where were the parents?

Upstairs snorting coke

Why are you describing me circa 1988??

Have you been watching me?

🤣

Sagealicious · 11/01/2026 23:15

Imagine being a baby sitting on a bus living your best life while eating pizza and you get judged for it.

Grammarnut · 11/01/2026 23:15

Simonjt · 11/01/2026 21:47

Pineapple or no pineapple?

Aaargh. If it was pineapple pizza that is atrocious. Poor, poor baby!

TrishyLou1111 · 11/01/2026 23:17

Babies dont need to be walking in order to eat food.

Yes but it’s full of sugar. One of the worst foods in terms of that. Ask anyone with diabetes if they eat fast food pizza - their sugars will still be high the next day.

No that simply isn't true. Blood glucose levels are slow to rise and may still be high the next day ( depends on if type 1 or 2 and what regime they are on) if there's alot of fat in the pizza because of cheese etc.

That's a bit morbid for baby groups... The baby on the bus goes choke choke choke.....

The babies on the bus scoff pizza crust, pizza crust, pizza crust…

I wouldn't leave my baby on a bus eating pizza without a can of coke to wash it down with. Clearly that parent is neglectful.

Well yes, do we know if mother or guardian was in right mind or full health?
That doesn’t excuse them, but would be why they did what they did

FionnulaTheCooler · 11/01/2026 21:46

Shocking. Everyone knows a Greggs sausage roll is the best way to keep your child quiet on the bus.

🤣😪

NotAnotherOneNC · 11/01/2026 23:21

Did it at least have some garlic dip for the crust?

pinkksugarmouse · 11/01/2026 23:22

That's disgusting my DD was only allowed a curry on the bus when she was in the pushchair. Whist she worked her way through her Tikka Masala I was working my way through the passengers on top deck. It was only a short route though so I had to get creative.

FurForksSake · 11/01/2026 23:24

@NotAnotherOneNC oh my god babies cannot have garlic?! Wtf.

Or is that dogs?

Rubyupbeat · 11/01/2026 23:26

@ACatNamedRobin
Awww... my boys are still my babies at 40 and 37 and 6 foot 5

BeanQuisine · 11/01/2026 23:29

I used to send my baby out on the bus on her own to the local pizza joint. She would steer the pushchair along with a little punting pole.

I stopped doing it after I discovered she was secretly stopping at a bakery on the way and getting a bacon butty instead, which is a choking hazard for a baby of that age.

Where were the parents?

Driving the bus. It was ‘bring your child to work day’.

Babyghirl · 11/01/2026 23:40

Not to young at all, my LG was blw from 6m and eating steak and roast and anything we ate.

Catterbat · 11/01/2026 23:47

Are you sure it was a baby and not just a very small Italian?

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 11/01/2026 23:48
  • Cheese and tomato sauce can upset sensitive tummies 😂😂😂

8 month old was eating steak and peppercorn sauce last night. Bit of tomato sauce is fine 😂

Oneforallandallforone · 11/01/2026 23:48

I made every recipe in the Annabel Karmel book for DC1. A very strict diet of no processed foods, no sugar. DC1 is now a teen addicted to ultra processed foods and sugar.

By the time DC2 arrived and proved to be the fussiest eater on earth, I was glad when anything was eaten. DC2 lived on bread and pasta and anything else I could get them to eat including sugar. DC2 is now a teen addicted to ultra processed foods and sugar.

Two entirely different diets led to the same outcome.

RBowmama · 11/01/2026 23:52

Are you familiar with baby led weaning? And yes a baby of weaning age can eat cheese and tomato and shockingly even a pizza! Mine ate exactly the same as us from 6m old minus the salt. However a bit of salt in a ready made pizza is absolutely fine, it's not like a dash of salt means they are poisoned on the spot!

People were often pleasantly surprised and commenting wow your baby is eating a banana independently, a whole apple etc. However there were also the odd few who couldn't grasp baby led weaning and were always convinced my babies would choke on any bit of whole food they ate and by the fact I wasn't sat there spoon feeding them!

Ridiculous.

You want Fanta.

Depends on the time of day. I mean if you want the child to stay awake for a bit so it sleeps through later there’s nothing wrong with a bit of sugar free red bull.
