Yep, no disagreement here. We have it in our back garden and are gradually getting rid of it. Horrible stuff.

I think it’s horrid so I don’t have it but I don’t really care if others choose to. Quite bonkers to get excited about something that you aren’t forced to do.

I don't like it from an environmental viewpoint, but I do think you can get some very realistic types now, possibly you wouldn't even realise unless up close, so not always obviously tacky.

The first generation stuff was no better then what green grocers used. The current stuff in fairness looks so damn real.

Honestly I was tempted because I hate carrying our lawnmower through to the front garden. I'm glad we didn't for these reasons but most importantly because of how much heat they radiate. Our front garden looks awful most of the time but it's good at absorbing heat.

Agree but I can sympathise with old people for example who don't want to go into a home or move house in their 80s but cannot manage the garden and having a gardener over several years far exceeds the cost of installing fake grass.

Yes it’s horrid stuff.

I bought artificial grass when my dog got sick and his urine killed off all the grass and plants. I just hosed it down after he went to the toilet. He survived 6 months of chemotherapy before he died. No regrets.

i don’t think it should be widely used, but it does have its place for some people.
