Those prisoners starving themselves, what the hell is going on in this crazy world!!!!

Pro Palestine activists are on a hunger strike, I really hope you get the result you want, the people of Gaza remember you seven kids who died for…… oh for them! 😂

I watched an interesting interview months ago now a young guy who was born in Israel then his father ended up being one of the head chiefs ( killers) in Hamas he know lives back in Israel after escaping…. His wise words were…. ‘ you lot in the west have no idea what is going on, with your protests and flags, stop trying to get involved in something we can and won’t be able to change’
This comes from a person on both sides who stayed very humble but very blunt.

Stop your silly little hunger strike, go and enjoy time with your family and friends you are lucky enough to be able to do that.

I was responding to a PP who was asking about Sudan. It’s possible to be concerned about more than one genocide at a time.

Oh yes I know what you were saying. And I think you understand my point too.

Israel does national service.

Refusing military service in Israel is punishable by jail. There are conscientious objectors in Israel. Not all Israeli young people want to get into IDF uniform.

OakleyAnnie · 19/12/2025 00:05

Many many Palestinians were absorbed into Israel and now live as full citizens with equal rights. Arabs make up 20%of the population of Israel I believe. Tragically many were killed and others fled at the demands of their own leaders. They live in Jordan, still in refugee camps. Jordan hasn’t made them citizens in the past 75 years.

The tragedy of the Palestinian people is that they’ve never had the leadership to allow them to live side by side with Israel so they’ve rejected every 2 state solution that Israel have offered and their homes and businesses in Gaza were destroyed to make weapons and tunnels.

That's because moderate Palestinian leaders were detained or murdered by Israelis across decades. There are many many scholarly books to read about how this was done to suppress protest

I’m not derailing the thread by going into Sudan, the Rohingya refugees or, indeed, the protest marches.

Yes I support the Refusers Network of Israelis who will not serve in a genocide

They’re not comparable. Hamas are far far worse. Israel and the IDF are defending their own people and protecting them, whereas Hamas have never cared about the Palestinians or they wouldn’t have hidden under their hospitals and schools, using them as human shields, or diverted aid to themselves to line their own pockets and watch the people they claim to represent die. No comparison at all.

Absolute rubbish, murdering thousands of civilians by bombing, starvation, snipers, burning alive is NOT self defense. If Hamas never cared about their people or hide behind then, that does not give Israel the right to what they have done. Theirs no Hamas in the West Bank so what’s the excuse there? Israel are a genocidal terrorist state. I cannot fathom that people can defend or excuse any of Israel’s actions when there’s clear documentation and evidence of the atrocities they have committed.

BusyBat · 19/12/2025 00:24

Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. I suppose they’re all anti-Semitic as well?

They make me sick

As for their hunger strike....what can I say except, let them

The sooner the better!

Broawno · 19/12/2025 00:51

I really don’t want to hyperbolic but I think a lot of the Free Palestine people are mentally unwell. It’s become much larger than the Gaza situation. People have made it their entire identity. Many people are in horrific circumstances all around the world. It feels like social contagion. I have no real explanation.

I personally do think Israel has gone too far. I certainly supported them initially as they have a right to defend their country. But I don’t think you can deny aid wasn’t given in as effective manner as possible. and that is abhorrent. Still am not pro Hamas though

chickenlettuceunderbacon · 19/12/2025 00:58

Zero sympathy for them.

They are choosing to go on hunger strike, which as prisoners, is their right to do. However, they do not have the conviction to go on an actual hunger strike, they are merely not eating for a few days, then another member of their group takes over. They are ridiculous, as are the MPs who are pandering to them. Am almost embarrassed for the lot of them - by this I mean the MPs, their supporters and the group themselves. Idiots the lot of them.

Maybe they aren't doing it just for recognition from the people of Gaza,
Maybe they are on hunger strike as they just cant stomach that its now the new normal to sit back and watch Israel (killers) mercilessly murder innocent civilians and defenceless babies and children?.....
They are trying to make a difference however small.
Unfortunately every government has shown just how bloody spineless they really are and it will probably achieve nothing,

but YABU as I wouldn't be making snide jokes about it.

Their on a rolling hunger strike meaning that they're only skipping food for a couple of days then they start eating and another 1 or 2 stop eating. Its not a real hunger strike unlike the IRA hunger strikers who started dieing after 40 days and I don't remember any of them making it past 44 days yet the PA terrorists are on day 47 with no deaths, which tells you all you need to know about the conversations of these idiots

So they’re basically fasting for a few days? How often do they repeat their fast? Depending on how slim they were to begin with it could take years for any health concerns to be seen.

ByWisePanda · 19/12/2025 01:37

In other news.......

It's been going on for a very long time between Palestine and Israel it's nothing new. We have no right to be involved. It's a war about politics, religion and land. They have to work it out or continue to fight it out. Social media has made people more aware of what's going on but it's not our place to say whose wrong or right. They will never see eye to eye.

It's a brave action on their part and finally people are recognising what they are doing. There was very little media coverage at first.
'Silly little hunger strike', OP, really? They are young people in their twenties ready to give up their lives for something they believe in. What could be more seirous.

No it isn't.

Doubtless some of the nasty people on this thread would say your niece is being silly and should just eat. Not me.

Which poster in particular do you think would say that. Do you really feel the need to create a fictional person with fictional ideas and reactions to make you feel better about yourself? How utterly sad and bizarre .

Actually there is much to suggest the UN has quite a bit of anti Semitic bias yes.

That doesn’t matter to these idiots. They’ve been brainwashed to undermine the stability of western society. Hence they think it’s ok to attack our military. They’re the same people who go round whipping up hatred towards police therefore making their jobs even more difficult and unsafe.

https://nitter.net/johnmcdonnellMP/status/1999530229023359405#m. Hopefully this works. It's a link to John McDonnell highlighting one of the meal skippers. I don't think the public is supporting the protest as much as the hunger strikers thought they would. Also, apparently one of the Palestinian Action people was granted bail. He then skipped bail. I'm not surprised the rest are being kept under lock and key.

Mmm, I don't think the timing is particularly helpful for PA on this one. It would always have been difficult in that the UK has a strong cultural record on not acquiescing to hunger strikers, even ones that aren't completely cringe like this lot. But the wider climate isn't so favourable.

sickofsixseven · 19/12/2025 07:18

BusyBat · 18/12/2025 23:40

It’s not violent if they confine their actions to damaging weapons of war. Using the weapons of war is guaranteed to be violent and cause terror. It is legal under international law to use any reasonable action to prevent a genocide if all other avenues of peaceful protest have been exhausted. Reasonable does not equate to violence against police officers.

It's not a genocide though, its a war. Why didn't they pop over to Sudan where there actually is a genocide and try to do something about that? Where literal multiples of the hamas alleged casualties have been killed within weeks. No, they don't really care about that do they. No jews, no news I guess.

sickofsixseven · 19/12/2025 07:32

ThatNewMoose · 18/12/2025 23:49

Funny that, I've seen 100's of videos of the IDF being cruel in some way or another, and not one of how you describe.....

I've seen videos of gazans, not just hamas, attempting to hack the heads off thai workers while they were still alive. "Regular" gazans killed parents in front of babies and took hostages. I stopped there, but they live streamed worse atrocities than that. They literally documented what they did, I don't see how you can deny it happened? Most of the "idf bad" videos are ai slop or staged hamas propaganda.
