Those prisoners starving themselves, what the hell is going on in this crazy world!!!!

Pro Palestine activists are on a hunger strike, I really hope you get the result you want, the people of Gaza remember you seven kids who died for…… oh for them! 😂

I watched an interesting interview months ago now a young guy who was born in Israel then his father ended up being one of the head chiefs ( killers) in Hamas he know lives back in Israel after escaping…. His wise words were…. ‘ you lot in the west have no idea what is going on, with your protests and flags, stop trying to get involved in something we can and won’t be able to change’
This comes from a person on both sides who stayed very humble but very blunt.

Stop your silly little hunger strike, go and enjoy time with your family and friends you are lucky enough to be able to do that.

Are you justifying the expulsion and murder of the Arabs who have been there for generations?

Are you justifying the expulsion, torture and genocide against the Jews for millennia?

And what have they said?

Ilan Pappé:

”What Israel commits in the Gaza Strip is genocide by all legal definitions.”

Funny that, I've seen 100's of videos of the IDF being cruel in some way or another, and not one of how you describe.....

Yep, that’s how algorithms work. They send you more of what you want to see. There’s evidence of Iranian interference too to destabilise the West further. That’s why people use the phrase useful idiots for those of you who have fallen for it. You’re turkeys voting for Christmas.

I agree that Hamas are vile yes, but being pro-palestine is not being pro-hamas.
It was not my argument at all
Hamas did not start out of nowhere, they formed after years of occupation, violence and cruelty under Israel and the IDF. October 7th was not the start of all this
Both hamas and the IDF have committed atrociries, and those actions should be condemned.
But the reality is that this isnot an equal or fair fight. Israel has a highly advanced military, while Palestinian civilians are effectively trapped, and let's be clear the Israeli government have used the Oct 8th attacks as justification for a full blown and well planned out genocide

I don’t understand the equal or fair. It’s not a chess match where you get paired with someone at the same level as you. Hamas decided to launch their genocidal attack on October 7th and have openly said they will do it again until Israel is wiped out.

What level of response would have been fair? Is the more powerful side in a war always the one in the wrong? Why do you think Israel felt the need to invest in such an advanced military in the first place?

Ah so you are worried about the calling up of Israeli soldiers??? All the pro Palestine marches are anti semetic. Where are all these marches re Sudan

Yes, I’m worried about conscription of anyone, including young people conscripted into the IDF just because they happen to be Israeli.

You must be reading different coverage of the trial to me because it wasn't just the one man who was armed.

From the BBC:

Footage played in the opening address was said to show Zoe Rogers brandishing and swinging a sledgehammer in front of a security guard, Angelo Volante.

He also said he had been whipped by Charlotte Head and threatened with a saw by Leona Kamio.

Eventually he retreated - but later returned with the police. As he led officers into the factory, video played to the jury on Tuesday was said to show Ms Kamio raising her sledgehammer over her head and bringing it down towards him.

She was then tasered - but continued to resist arrest. The video is then said to show Samuel Corner approaching Sgt Evans and striking her back with a sledgehammer.

"Having hit her once, he raised the sledgehammer again and hit her with it a second time," said Ms Heer.

"Fortunately, Sgt Evans was wearing a stab vest which may have absorbed the force of the impacts. Nevertheless she screamed in pain as she felt the force of the blows.

"She was immediately terrified that her spine had been damaged and when she tried, she was unable to get up."

Sgt Evans suffered a fractured spine and was unable to work for three months. Due to the ongoing impact of the injury, she has been confined to restricted duties.

Dreadful violence. Stay on demand and then argue the case on trial, just as others do. They aren't special.

OP, I think it’s in really poor taste to use a crying with laughter emoji in a thread about this topic.

BusyBat · 19/12/2025 00:00

All of that has happened to my dearly loved niece in the grips of anorexia. She not doing it for attention or to blackmail society, she’s genuinely ill and at risk of organ failure but she can’t get an ambulance or attention for love nor money.

The protestors’ fate is in their own hands and their own responsibility.

Doubtless some of the nasty people on this thread would say your niece is being silly and should just eat. Not me.

Israel was formed (as a replica of their original homeland) after facing millennia of persecution, exile, and genocide..

Oh so who cares about all the Palestinians living there before the formation of Israel in 1948?......

Staringintothevoid616 · 18/12/2025 23:57

It’s the opinion of a Jewish scholar. You asked what he’d said, I provided the information.

OakleyAnnie · 19/12/2025 00:05

Malvasylvestris · 18/12/2025 23:47

But why did it have to be formed at the cost of Palestinian lives and dispossession of their land?

Many many Palestinians were absorbed into Israel and now live as full citizens with equal rights. Arabs make up 20%of the population of Israel I believe. Tragically many were killed and others fled at the demands of their own leaders. They live in Jordan, still in refugee camps. Jordan hasn’t made them citizens in the past 75 years.

The tragedy of the Palestinian people is that they’ve never had the leadership to allow them to live side by side with Israel so they’ve rejected every 2 state solution that Israel have offered and their homes and businesses in Gaza were destroyed to make weapons and tunnels.

Erm? Wasn't the birthplace of that nice Jewish boy Judea?

The Romans didn't rename it to Syria Palaestina until 100 years or so later when they were mad at the Jews.

Bethlehem I guess is part of Palestinian territory now, and not free from violence, although I don't think it's the bit you're referring to.

Staringintothevoid616 · 18/12/2025 23:38

Oh that’s ok then!!! How many of these people are doing the sane re Sudan or are they only interested in protesting against Jews?

I have no idea. I’m involved in some humanitarian work with Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. Who are you helping?

No way! 🥹. So you mean before Islam was even in existence? 😮 I guess the Jews really were there first!

Much of what you reference wouldn’t have happened if Hamas hasn’t started a war…

Or if they’d returned the hostages…

Or allowed the Gazas to shelter in the miles of tunnels they’d built with the billions of dollars donated to them to rebuild Gaza after they destroyed the homes and industry gifted to the Gazans by the Israelis when they moved out in 2005.

Or shared the food they stockpiled in the tunnels so the people weren’t starving.

Or if the Palestinians weren't living under Israeli occupation?
