To send this to a married man

1000 replies

IslaSkywalker · 06/12/2025 10:54

It's been sent but I'd like to see what people say.

A man who's turned out to be married has been chatting with me and arranging to meet. Also being very flirty and sexual toned in conversation that I did not like and sent unsolicited "pictures." Guess what type.

He's been sent a moonpig postcard telling him to stop flirting and messing around in the new year and not to send pictures of his bits and pieces to women who've not asked.

I can't believe he's only done it the once. I chose a postcard because of the embarrassment factor. The postman will see it and it'd make him look a fool explaining to his wife if she picks it up from the mat.

Not bitter or jealous, he's a complete tool who I don't want. AT ALL.

Unhinged is a mn favourite stock phrase isn't it?

Yes, he's not unhinged for sending dick pics to you when he's married but somehow you are apparently the unhinged one...

Whatwouldnanado · 06/12/2025 12:03

This will only encourage him and I think you know it. Why didn’t you just block and ignore when it first happened. Nasty all round,

An anonomous postcard like that landing on the doorstep causing confusion, with no right to reply, or any way for the wife to ask questions etc is very different from a victim reporting a crime, which will go through the legal process and give the wife some closure instead of more questions.

Op actually doesn't know what she's caused, this man could be violent for all she knows and the wife could be in the receiving end thanks to her crappy postcard.

If he's violent as well as a perverted criminal, that's on him. I laughed at 'no right to reply'. He sent her an unsolicited dick pic FFS. We're you being ironic?

Didimum · 06/12/2025 12:05

KetchUpWithEverythingPls · 06/12/2025 11:36

I bet you are the kind of person who if you knew a man was cheating would just keep it to yourself and not have the backbone to let her know

Nope. I’ve commented on countless threads all the time I’ve been on Mumsnet to always let the betrayed party know. The issue here is the method of a moonpig postcard. It sets the whole thing up as a film-script joke. The wife deserves better than finding out in that manner.

Try harder next time.

Thepeopleversuswork · 06/12/2025 10:58

Why did you do this?

The way to deal with bellends like this is to ignore them. Not to inflate their self image by sending greetings cards. What did you think you were going to achieve?

You’ve also made it quite likely his wife will discover this. If you want her to know tell her directly rather than sending something which will alarm and unsettle her.

Totally agree wouldn’t waste my time or money on sending anything.. I doubt a card would stop him anyway and he’s probably done it so many times before

usedtobeaylis · 06/12/2025 12:06

Maybe he should have thought about his children before he undermined his family.

The wife doesn't have any way to reply to op, or even know who the op is, it's a shitty thing to do.

ADHDdiagnosis · 06/12/2025 12:07

You sound like an obsessive stalker

also funny to think that the postman has time or inclination to read all the post before delivering. It’s not toy town

bigboykitty · 06/12/2025 12:07

I don't know why everyone's got such an issue with Moonpig. Is there another brand of online greetings retailer that people prefer?

Yes, your husband being arrested for a sexual offence is likely to be much more clear cut than an anonymous postcard landing on the mat. 🙄

ETA I don’t think the postcard is a good idea, just that it’s ridiculous to think it’s more problematic for the wife than involving police.

Well you could have done that by blocking and ignoring him. Far more dignified and free.

What you have done will make him think you are obsessed with him and a bit unhinged and risks causing serious upset to his family.

He will just write you off as a bit batshit and move onto his next victim.

“Well you could have done that by blocking and ignoring him. Far more dignified and free.”

But doesn’t fix the problem. He’ll do it again and again until he’s called out. Sure this is a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but it calls him out and that’s what needs to happen

Nothingbutstress · 06/12/2025 12:10

Good for you OP, why should we just sit back and let these blokes carry on like this? If it was my husband I’d want to know and I’d want him humiliated. It’s creative, I would do something similar and it would definitely give the postman a laugh!

WheresBillGrundyNow · 06/12/2025 12:10

Why a moon pig postcard? It makes it so easy for him to pass it off as a prank or something.
Did it say anything specific to identify him? I presume you used his name, but he could have given you a fake one.
I think you’re probably overestimating how much he cares about the opinion of the postal worker who delivers it and vice versa.

Allisnotlost1 · 06/12/2025 12:11

Cucy · 06/12/2025 11:46

He sounds disgusting and I’m glad he has been called out on it.

Hopefully this will raise suspicions of his wife who will get her ducks in a row and be prepared for him leaving her.

Unfortunately, he will probably get around it and she’ll think it’s just some jealous woman.

I was talking and regularly meeting a man who I found out had a wife who was pregnant with twins and 2 under 5s at home - his excuse when I called him out on it was that he was stressed with family life and his wife hadn’t wanted sex and might not want sex for a while after the birth.

Off topic but aren’t you the probation officer who previously said they instinctively knew if people were wrong ‘uns?

WheresBillGrundyNow · 06/12/2025 12:12

You’ll have undermined your credibility to the police if you also report it as well.

BauhausOfEliott · 06/12/2025 12:12

IslaSkywalker · 06/12/2025 11:06

Because he was showing off about his house. He sent pictures of that. A quick check online reveals he's not living there by himself.

You sound a bit mad now.

TwistedWonder · 06/12/2025 12:12

Dick pics are illegal so rather than encourage further by sending a card you selected and paid for , maybe you should have reported him to the police - that would make him think twice.

No right for the wife to reply obviously. Not the guy.

Yes it was addressed to him. As I've already said several times I'm absolutely certain it's his real name and address. Which is a bit stupid of him really.

Edited

Well, yes, it is more clearcut.

I didn't say the fallout wouldn't be extreme, but he has commited a crime and theres evidence of it.

An anonomous postcard is a shitty thing to do, and entirely about op having a laugh at another woman's expense as she throws a grenade into a marriage.

Op clearly knows who the wife is, she could have sent a message.

Sabrinatheblue · 06/12/2025 12:14

I hope you're never in the same position again, but if you are:

  • Block and report to the app
  • Report the unsolicited dick pics to the police
  • Contact the wife directly, ideally with evidence
KarmenPQZ · 06/12/2025 12:16

I’m surprised my the responses on this one. It’s a very brave thing to do and perhaps slightly foolish but I did think mums net would step up and be more supportive.

all the ‘poor flashers wife’ and blaming OP for her situation is insane. The man is 100% to blame

Ivy888 · 06/12/2025 12:16

You sound very unhinged op.
You never met the guy. You have no idea if he was telling the truth about not having kids. You did an online search to find his address (can be classified as stalking) to send this. You have no idea what their relationship is like. Maybe they are in an open relationship.

You should have set YOUR boundaries by blocking him so he could not send you any more dick pics. You should have reported him to the police for sending you unsolicited dick pics. What you did just makes you come across as very unhinged.
