This is madness. Can the last taxpayer in the UK please close the door behind them.

Housing benefit needs to be cut. Painful at first but ultimately it will educate people to make wiser decisions.

Where do you want people to live if that happens and they can't find work, then?

Yet another excuse. Let’s carry on then and bankrupt the country anything but have people’s mental health affected.

People fall into two catagories those that solve problems and support themselves and those that come up with excuses for why they can't do things. They always have a bloody excuse. Tough love is needed.

Novemberstorm · 02/12/2025 17:45

Understand the longterm plan is UBI. When UBI is introduced, those with large families reliant on benefits will really struggle. Thus removing 2 child cap will be hugely detrimental in the future. This policy will cause extreme hardship to some in the future.

It’s called taking responsibility for yourselves rather than expect the taxpayer to pay for everything

Great. Next time I get made redundant, or my husband dies, I will set up a weed farm. I assume you're okay with me marketing my product to your kids? After all, I would be taking personal responsibility and not asking your taxes to help me.

Bumblebee72 · 02/12/2025 17:32

No need to shout. There are loads of jobs people just don't want to do them. They don't want to do them because they can sit at home and live a comfortable life as a piss taker.

And in the next edition of 'Fairy Tales by Bumblebee72'...

Or alternatively you just get another proper job....

Vile.
Do you know anyone with mental health problems? I guess not as you seem to think they don't actually exist.

None of those things are the taxpayers fault are they and I’m sure you would claim the necessary benefits if they did because that is what they are there for

Bumblebee72 · 02/12/2025 17:18

The young men who could aren't doing it because it is easy to collect the dole and play on a X box.

Edited

Have you ever actually had to qualify for 'the dole' as you amusingly seem to think it is still called?

Employ her kids as runners too. May as well instil in them a strong work ethic whilst young.
Get them an e-scooter and a balaclava. Maybe throw in a knife or gun too.

It is not what I want. The housing situation outlook will be very bleak for some. Hence people need to cover all bases now why they can. Wise decisions, insurance policies, family support network etc.

Where do people in care homes come in? Or disabled?

And what do they have in common? They're both genuine conditions ffs.

That is a good definition of the piss takers. As long as the dole is flowing in they don't give a fuck about the country,.

I didn’t say that but you are naive to think that every claim based on mental health is genuine. There are some in desperate need and there are others who aren’t and the one who suffer are the genuine cases because there isn’t enough money put into mental health services by a long way. It all has a knock on effect and it’s those who swing the lead are the ones you should be angry with not me.

Wouldnt go down well here I live near Wethersfield air base. If you cut HB so ppl get made homeless/kicked out of social housing/private renting whiile the asylum seekers dont that would light the blue touchpaper. Its already simmering.

No it’s called taking responsibility and we all have to do it to some degree. And if people didn’t care no taxes would be paid to help those in need.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. 💐 Ignore the crazy, you can't reason with it.

At that point the air base would have had the people deported.

On the contrary there is no reasoning with you and if you’ve read my reply it clearly states that if those things did happen this is when benefits system would kick in which is what it issupposed to do . 🤷‍♀️

'Get' another proper job. Because there are plenty to go round, anyone can just 'get' one. Like popping down the corner shop for a pint of milk. Why don't you cop on and educate yourself? Oh, I forgot, you don't have to, because 'lived experience'.

Its sad that you see a world where people aren't dependent on the state to eat or for a roof over their head as a fairy tale.
