The biology of chromosomes is actually far more complex, who knew! And let’s not even start on neurodevelopment, which is also biology. The fact is trans people have existed throughout history, so there is clearly a biological reason for them existing in all nations at all points through time, even if we don’t fully understand it. Screaming that people are lying or ignoring biology is wilful ignorance.

I say bugger off with the lies. Biology does matter. Biological women and their periods and their sometimes horrendous side effects matter. Men who pretend to bleed need help not affirmation that they have uteruses and actually bleed from their non existent wombs.

Men do not get periods. Biological sex is a well understood phenomenon, where bodies develop around the production of small or large gametes. No human in the history of mankind has ever changed sex.

Gender non-conforming people have existed throughout history. Fetishistic disorders have existed throughout history. None of these mean that men are actually women.

There are social reasons for every society in history finding a different way of accommodating gender-nonconforming people. The recent increase in the UK and other wealthy nations of people identifying themselves as trans or non-binary is largely confined to adult men, mostly middle-aged or older, and very young women and teenage girls. If there was a biological reason rather than a social one for this, surely we'd expect to see lots of middle-aged and elderly females transitioning. But we don't.

The information about male people having ‘periods’ has nothing to do with people with Differences of Sex Development that you refer to with your comment about ‘chromosomes’. Perhaps it is you who has misunderstood science lessons.

There are also no biological markers that indicate that a male person has a transgender identity.

Male people who declare that they have periods have not been in existence throughout history. And while people may have experienced gender dysphoria, you politically leveraging homophobic and sexist cultures where people were poorly treated is not the gotcha you think it is.

Enough with the "exist" trope, no one denies that that the psychological condition of gender dysphoria doesn't exist. Psychological conditions may have a basis in biology but that can also be social constructs and be culture-bound syndromes etc.

I'll leave aside the call to "biological reasons" from the person who also called for biological facts to bugger off 🫠 Just the reasoning here is amazing. There certainly is a biological reason for men and women existing as separate sex classes, that being the survival of the species. And yes, men who claim to be women exist, but this alone doesn't imbibe them with any worthy "reason". And while men who claim to be women exist, men who actually are women do not.

I'd call for facts to bugger off and go get plastered too if this was what I had to say!

To be honest I don't make a habit of following any of them so I wasn't aware this was the latest thing they're trying to co-opt from women.

Its just the most baffling to me because it's one of the worst bits about womanhood. Like if I could cherry pick the bits I wanted like they do, periods would be on the "no thank you" list.
