Do you get your children Christmas presents or are they all from Santa?

Growing up all of my presents Christmas morning were off Santa, my parents didn’t get us presents but they always said they paid Santa for the presents. Some of my friends received a main gift from Santa and the rest from parents. My DD is only 1.5 so have a year or two to decide how I’ll do it but I’m just curious.

We just did stockings from Santa and all other presents from us (same as when I was a child).

The stocking is from Santa. Mine can ask for up to three gifts. Then they get presents from us. Apparently it's quite important that not all presents are from Santa as otherwise kids wonder why Santa gets some kids much more than others.

The main present is from us. That gives us the ability to say no to crazy requests. Otherwise they would ask for anything because it’s ‘free’ from Santa! Also explains why some kids get more than others when it is parents buying.

I tell my kids that I buy the presents from shops, but then I send them to the North Pole so the elves can wrap them for me. Then Santa delivers them back to us on Christmas Eve all wrapped and ready to go

Our all came from Santa, apart from friends and family presents, but Santa redelivered them with the rest.
Kids are 25, 23 and 17 and last year was the first year Santa didn't deliver the gifts 🤣🤣

Our DC get a main present from us and Santa brings a stocking containing small gifts like an annual, small board game, selection box, chocolate Santa, chocolate coins, small stuffed toy etc. This was the same as I had when I was a child.

We do 4-5 gifts from Santa, usually their most wanted gifts, and stockings from Santa here and 10-12 gifts from us.

We do all presents from Santa, but as your parents did @andanotherproblem we say we send the money to Santa to make the presents. It was how both of our parents explained it so it was just our normal. Ours are all under 10 so haven’t asked for anything ridiculously priced yet but it will still explain why they can’t have too expensive things in the future and explains why some children get less or more. Presents from other people aren’t from Santa obviously.

Kind of a weird, inconsistent mixture 😂

Like shit am I letting a man take all the credit for the effort and money that I put into christmas. Father christmas gets them one present we get the rest.

Growing up for DH and myself, presents were from Santa. We're doing the same for DD.

My kids know Santa can't bring anything too big on the sleigh, plus he doesn't do electronics or live animals.
