Yes, it clearly is. I remember the sad story of Ahmed Iqbal Ullah who was stabbed to death at school because he was the same age as me and went to a school very near mine. The people who hand wring over 'Broken Britain' and the rise in violent crime (despite stats showing the exact opposite) etc are the exact same people who bitch and whine when taxes are raised to deal with the things they bitch and moan about

In 2006 he abducted a man in a row, tied him up and drowned him in a canal getting 11 years for manslaughter and kidnap.
In 2012 just months after release he smashed a bottle over a homeless woman’s head and dragged her off and orally rapped her 3 times as seen on CCTV.
He was given a 16 year tariff and told by judge he was a danger to the public and lucky not to get life.
2020 released under Covid prison release scheme despite being high risk and should have been on licence till 2029.

Well tbh Labour are just letting prisoners out willy nilly so it's hardly surprising there are daily stabbings. Lammy seems to be pretty relaxed about it. If I was a cynic I'd suggest Labour are deliberately letting prisoners sneak out.the back door to make it look like prisons are not full to bursting, so they can claim victory in at least sorting something out. They've done very little with anything else.
