I bought 3 tickets to a show this weekend, for me & DD + a friend of her choice. I paid for them all (£50+ each) but told the mum of invited friend that I didn’t want any contribution. All good.

Now the friend unfortunately can’t make it (legit reason). I mentioned that I’d probably be able to sell ticket as it’s very popular, so no worries (as it happens, another friend has accepted a late invite).

The mum of original invitee asked me to transfer the cost of the ticket to her, so she can treat her DD for missing out.

She thought you were giving her child a gift and is asking for the money instead. Like asking for a gift receipt. Awks! God if she wasn’t a CF she’d be mortified when she realised she’s made herself look like one.

CF: "Can't now - Just send her a deliveroo please, thanks"

Wow. Some good examples to use on this thread if she comes back again, such as if you’re a wedding guest who can’t attend then you don’t expect to he financially compensated for the cost of the meal you missed. Thats if you can be arsed to reply to her if she does reply. She’s nuts

Seriously for a minute, is it possible that CF gave her DD fifty quid to pass onto OP, DD told her she had done this, but actually pocketed the money herself?
