I bought 3 tickets to a show this weekend, for me & DD + a friend of her choice. I paid for them all (£50+ each) but told the mum of invited friend that I didn’t want any contribution. All good.

Now the friend unfortunately can’t make it (legit reason). I mentioned that I’d probably be able to sell ticket as it’s very popular, so no worries (as it happens, another friend has accepted a late invite).

The mum of original invitee asked me to transfer the cost of the ticket to her, so she can treat her DD for missing out.

Eh??

I mean that’s batshit, right?

OP posts:
HermioneWeasley · 06/11/2025 11:23

Yup, completely batshit

Sahara123 · 06/11/2025 11:23

Good grief . That is indeed maximum cheeky fuckery !

Lunde · 06/11/2025 11:24

Complete CF

Tammygirl12 · 06/11/2025 11:24

That cannot be real!! Where do these people come from?!

MidnightPatrol · 06/11/2025 11:24

Has she forgotten that she didn’t pay for it?

CosySeason · 06/11/2025 11:25

WTF!?

Oreosareawful · 06/11/2025 11:25

Are you sure she hasn't transfered you the money for it? Thats the only explaination I can think of!

Plus- Is it for YHL?

Itiswhysofew · 06/11/2025 11:26

I'm very bad with numbers and calculations, but even i understand this one.

What an absolute CF!

Figcherry · 06/11/2025 11:26

I’d be replying that the money is already earmarked for a pre show dinner for you and dd.

TurtleCavalryIsSeriousShit · 06/11/2025 11:26

Eh? Now I've heard it all!!

DiscoBob · 06/11/2025 11:27

Haha. Absolutely unbelievable. How can someone think that's a normal thing to do?

LadyDanburysHat · 06/11/2025 11:27

Wow! I continue to be amazed at the absolute CFery I see on here. Every time you think it can't be topped.

IglesiasPiggl · 06/11/2025 11:27

Oh wow I do love MN, to hear about the sheer brass neck on some people! The only thing I can possibly think of is that she's forgotten it was you who paid as opposed to her.

Daleksatemyshed · 06/11/2025 11:27

You said you could get a refund so now she wants the money? This is Premium CF, has she done a night class in taking the piss?

ldnmusic87 · 06/11/2025 11:28

Surely she must have forgotten she didn't pay? Wow

dizzydizzydizzy · 06/11/2025 11:28

LadyDanburysHat · 06/11/2025 11:27

Wow! I continue to be amazed at the absolute CFery I see on here. Every time you think it can't be topped.

Exactly this. The mind boggles and why this would occur to someone .

Screamingabdabz · 06/11/2025 11:28

Does anyone actually know how the brains of these nutjobs work and how they do not go through life the slightest bit embarrassed? Please 🙏🏻 I’d love some insight.

Whereismyfleeceblanket · 06/11/2025 11:28

Nobody is that brazen surely?

OrigamiOwls · 06/11/2025 11:29

Absolutely remind her that she didn't pay in the first place!

LakieLady · 06/11/2025 11:30

Every few days, I think I've read the utmost batshit bit of cheeky fuckery anyone could ever dream up on here. This is one of those days.

I daresay there'll be an even more batshit bit of CF behaviour before long though. It's almost like there's some sort of secret competition to see who can be the cheekiest fucker.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 06/11/2025 11:31

”Hi Brenda,

I am happy to transfer to you the entire sum that you paid me for the tickets!

Yours sincerely,
@JeffTheSquirrel!”

TeenLifeMum · 06/11/2025 11:31

She surely has misremembered she didn’t pay?

Lavenderandbrown · 06/11/2025 11:32

So the invite should cost you 100? The original 50 for the ticket plus 50 for her to entertain her daughter who cannot attend? Wow that’s really some ballsy math there. I have never met a CF in the wild but I sure do love hearing these stories. I would text her back….so you want me to pay for the ticket and also pay for your daughter not to use it?

Bobiverse · 06/11/2025 11:32

I don’t even think I could formulate a reply to that; it’s so totally out of control that she actually thinks it’s ok to ask for you to just give her £50.

The treat was your daughter getting to go to a show with a friend, so it was really a treat for your kid and her friend got lucky to be asked. It isn’t you offering to pay for her kid to have a lovely time without your daughter!

What did you say?

watchingplanesicantafford · 06/11/2025 11:33

That's so CF that I'm sure she must have thought she paid for the ticket originally.
