To want a South American husband

Bored of dating. Just thinking how great it would be to ship in or import some sort of instant husband like via Amazon. Obviously they would have to consent too lol. No terrible unrealistic expectations nor would they need to be anything other than reliable, friendly and a bit of a laugh.
I wouldn’t even care if he had affairs.
Who would you marry if you had the choice? I’m going through a bit of a reggaeton phase hence the fetishisation of Latino men, I know it’s appalling. But I also think they would make good husbands. Plus be good looking.

I was going to say a beautiful looking korean man too 😁 I watch too many kdramas lol and have just watched one with Cha Eun Woo. How can any other country compete with such beauty.

That’s because most of them have had plastic surgery.

It’s so common in SK for men and women to have facial surgery, pretty much everyone you see on tv has had something done.

amberisola · 26/10/2025 09:22

I think some sort of extendable leasing system might work. I have an Italian STBXH whose stereotypically bad qualities became apparent after 4 years or.so..Good fun until then.

singthing · 26/10/2025 09:23

I'd take George Russell in his Gilded Age era. On the proviso he never ever shaved his beard. Or Frank Sinatra in his Ocean's 11 phase. I like the way he cocks his hat and twinkles his eyes at the broads (me).

Obviously both of them have massively troubling sidelines and behaviours as well, which would be a problem if this was in any way serious or real.

So for a good guy, I'll have Gregory Peck/Atticus Finch.

Can I put in an order for a tall Scott with his own island bothy, a crash pad in Edinburgh and some livestock please.

Excellent thread. I did read sometime that Asian men are slightly smaller in that department but I'm not sure how this could be verified

A friend told me she'd gone on holiday to Thailand and got off with the tour guide.
She'd taken condoms of varying sizes so told him they were good to go.
Unfortunately, even the smallest was too big on him to be safe.
He offered to get some local ones which apparently fitted him, but really the moment had gone for both of them.
Obviously, I realise that one man isn't representative of a whole continent.

I’ll stick to the gorgeous Koreans in Kdramas and Kpop 😁 Never going to meet them, too old for them anyway so I’ll just sit back and enjoy the aesthetics 😁

100% this!! 🤣❤️

Doesn't do it for me, too clean and shiny looking.
I have a German, I do recommend it but not if you struggle to hear facts you would rather not

Love this! I work with a German man and this is very accurate!

RightOnTheEdge · 26/10/2025 09:38

My Brazilian one and all of his friends lived up to the stereotypes that MissionaryMumtoOne listed. Also add overbearing, infantalising mothers making excuses for their behaviour 🤮

I don't know what I'd order the last one put me off for life, maybe one with a Scottish accent.

KnowWorcester · 26/10/2025 09:39

This is such an un pc thread 🙈

But, objectification aside, just popped in to say we have the best Colombian coffee shop in Worcester and the people who own it are wonderful. Don't know if that's a ringing endorsement of South American men or not, but damn they make good coffee and food and music! They just opened a new one in Liverpool too. Maybe you should visit and make your dreams come true @Lostthebubblewand 😁

Oh come on, it’s light hearted….. it doesn’t need to be that serious!

Yes it’s just a bit of harmless bants…

If you think Germans are blunt try Austrians, som of The Rellies would reduce anyone with anything other than VERY healthy self esteem to tears

Cinnamon77 · 26/10/2025 09:45

How is this different to a man wanting a Thai bride?

JasmineTea11 · 26/10/2025 09:49

I used to fetishise Latino men, and expressed it once via a holiday romance with a hot Mexican surfer. They are great dancers, and yes we could have had beautiful light brown skinned babies...but it is a rather misogynistic culture, where sons also deeply revere their mothers.
It's fun in theory, but if we're being serious I think all cross cultural relationships bring major challenges (add the languagefactor), but I think that also adds a bit of interest for some people.
I know quite a few men who have had long term relationships and kids with Japanese women.

Soonenough · 26/10/2025 09:52

Went through a Japanese phase in my teens . Moved onto French Algerian - so accent with a Rege Jean Page looks . Always liked the idea of Cubans sinc Ricky Ricardo . In fact anything unlike the Ex - white British male who couldn't dance .

I can’t see the appeal of Korean men personally, not sure… I see them as very effeminate personally. When you say societal flaws what do you mean?

I have a few family members who have really gotten into Korean movies and cartoons

Korean horror movies are the best. The men are very androgynous looking, not for me at all.

Foundress · 26/10/2025 09:56

I have a Yorkshire man (early edition). I love him dearly he’s fairly blunt and usually dressed much like a tramp. In those moments between sleep and waking I do sometimes dream of a very stylish Italian man. The type who can wear a scarf, slacks and loafers. I am also stylish in this fantasy and we parade the streets of Milan before settling down with coffee in a pavement cafe.

My favourite one hasn’t. He looks just the same as when he was a child.

I live in Yorkshire and am friends with an Italian lady who moved here a couple of years ago.
She is horrified by the appearence of the local men, her first Summer when the shirts came off and there were white/red men (often with less than perfect bodies) walking around she messaged me in a panic to ask how long it would last

If I saw someone that looked the same as when they were a child I'd definitely think they'd had cosmetic surgery.

I’m currently watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha and Chief Hong is very easy on the eye. And Ms Dentist’s dad is a very fine looking silver fox.

And Changbin from Stray Kids. Oh, I say… <gratuitous photo incoming>

I wonder if mail order husbands exist like mail order brides do…🧐 I’m aware my language is very not PC. But there are marriage agencies for men looking for beautiful young women from developing countries who’ll do exactly what they say..(which is extremely fucked up imo and not something I agree with)….i just wonder if the same exists for women looking for men 🤷‍♀️

Sort of. There are always men wanting visas and passports.

When I was in Gambia I noticed quite a few older white British ladies with much younger Gambian men, when we were out at dinner and so on. Chatting to people in the resort apparently it’s a well known place for that! So I can recommend Gambia.

I think they're gigolos, not looking to emigrate to be trophy husbands.

How do you add a photo? It seems a shame not to share one of, to me, the most perfect man who ever existed, just unfortunate I’m too old, I don’t speak Korean and I’ll probably never go to Korea 😁 And I’d put money on him never having had cosmetic surgery.
